I returned my BodyMedia armband and went a different route, but from what I remember the BodyMedia synch uses projections throughout the day and adjusts all the way up until the end of the day when it synchs final data. Good luck!

I weigh myself daily, after the shower, without clothing... It takes out all of the variables. I like knowing the daily results even if it fluctuates.

I have the Polar H7 chest band and I am very happy with it. I use mine in conjunction with the Polar Loop pedometer, but you don't have to have both. You can pair it to your phone and use one of the Polar apps to see your results.

If you can take the discomfort of the chest strap, a Heart Rate Monitor is probably a little more accurate than a simple fitbit or bodymedia band; but I don't think that the differences will be significant enough to want to wear the Heart Rate Monitor all day long.
