  • This is the mentality I'm trying to have. I'm watching calories more than I'm watching what I eat. That's not to say I'm not eating healthier options (they tend to have fewer calories!), but that if I have a hamburger -- it's not a cheat. With that said, I do try to take it easy. So, when I had pizza, I had one slice with…
  • About 6'3 and currently 336. I hit my peak weight at about 373 last summer. Lost some weight before the holidays and then gained a few back after the holidays. I started on here at 361. So far, I'm down to 336 as of this morning. I set up a bunch of goals for myself: Pants size, shirt size, lose 10%, BMI under 40, BMI…
  • Congrats! I just completed my first charity walk/5k today. I'm also still out of shape, so I walked it, with a few downhill jogs. I finished it in 46 mins (it wasn't quite a full 5k, but I averaged about 15 mins/mile.).

I've been eating between 2000 and 2400 calories a day over the last 4 weeks plus exercising (Power 90 and walking) 6 days a week. I rarely eat back…
  • I'm not sure if I could successfully maintain without the diary... but perhaps by the time I hit my goal, I'll be able to better track calories in my head.
  • It's amazing how much younger you look. Way to go!
  • I'm still doing "girl" pushups (using knees). Sadly, when I started 4 weeks ago, I could barely do 3-4 of those. I can now do about 10-12. Maybe by next month I can graduate to regular push-ups!

  • I think it's actually incredibly simple, but people like to complicate things. You want to eat enough that your providing proper nutrition to your body. But outside that, I think it's as simple as calories in/calories out. Burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight. Cardio will help you burn more calories…
