Yesterday was all sorts of crazy - so I did D2 today instead. W3(c)D2: 10+12+8+9+17 = 56 knee pushups. Don't know how I pulled off a max set of 17! :noway: I barely got through the first and second sets - but after those, it got way easier wooo! good to see you back here, Vet :drinker:

Here's my November recap: 1) Workout 3x a week for at least 30 min: just looked back over my logs. Most weeks I did 2 days a week of cardio. So I have room for improvement this month. 2) Keep unhealthy snacking below 200 calories a day: I did pretty well on this goal - until Thanksgiving Break. Was doing school work the…

Hi Ladies! I've been so remiss this past week. Started redoing W3 last Monday and then didn't do the rest. When I'm back home with my parents, it's so easy to fall into unhealthy/lazy behavior patterns that I've been trying to overcome - especially with the end of the semester closing in on me *shudder!*. So, having not…

Repeating W3 this week - switching temporarily to a MWF schedule (with a full day of classes + traveling Tuesday and Thanksgiving on Thursday it seems like the best choice). W3(b)D2: 10+12+7+7+13(max) = 49 knee pushups

I miss this cooking challenge - I promise I'll enter something this week
-
Just finished W3D3 and that was BRUTAL!! By the third set I was shaking after 5 pushups. I think I am going to have to redo W3. But as meggongonks says: no shame in repeating! W3D3 stats = 11+13+9+9+13(max) = 55 knee pushups

So I weighed in this morning and the scale didn't budge at all from last week! I'm pretty relaxed about the number on the scale - maybe too relaxed, because I'm not upset or anything, but I'm also not letting it inspire me to kick it up a notch. I'm not really sure what to do differently. I know that I should make the time…

Welcome, SkipToMyLou!! This group is great for support, motivation, and even if you just need someone to listen to you rant. Glad you're joining us  Way to jump right in with your goals! Cruan, the zumba video game sounds awesome - let us know how it goes! I have a few friends at school who are really into taking…

Welcome!! The more the merrier

I totally promised to be not selfish in my next post, but I just had to share my success at the Giant's Ladder with you girls! @Tai, I really like crocheting too! But I hate finishing off projects, especially if I changed yarns a lot and have to find something to do with all those tails! The year I learned how to crochet,…

Rockclimbing was AWESOME today, Roo  Alright, so instead of climbing the indoor walls, we went to the challenge course today and climbed the Giant's Ladder in teams of three. I'm adding a picture of one below in case anyone doesn't know what that is. Oh, and it was windy! Really, really windy. And that ladder…

I've got A LOT of catching up to do with you gals. I tried to do it last night, but I fell asleep on the couch (with my computer on my lap!) I'm really suffering from a lack of energy lately. I've been trying to wake up early because I'm much more productive in the morning - and it was working for a few weeks - but for the…

Yesterday was so crazy, so I didn't have time for the pushups. Did them today, though - no falling off the wagon for this girl! W3D2 = 10+12+8+8+14(max) = 52 knee pushups  I'm definitely noticing a difference in my core muscles - no doubt about it, they're firmer  Still too afraid to try normal pushups. I…

I say this every time that I post, but I really need to do a better job keeping up with this thread. You ladies are just too awesome!! @Emmy, I agree with Meag, you've accomplished a lot and you should be first and foremost, proud of that! It is likely that the weight fluctuation is your body balancing itself out. None of…

@meag - I'm not ready to be let off the hook quite yet  @meggonkgonk - getting through 73 pushups is quite a feat, even if it was barely getting through. way to go! Just started W3D1 - and I think I need to start doing these earlier in the day. Right before bedtime is just not working out. Stats for today:…

Great job, everyone!! You are what is keeping me motivated in this challenge! I completely forgot (again!!) about it. But I remembered around 2am, right before I was going to bed. Just finished them. I figured that since I am redoing W2, but have gotten stronger, I would try rank 2 (still on my knees) instead of rank 1.…

Hi Ladies!! Weigh in day was today - and I maintained. A maintain after a 2lb loss last week, and the lightest that I've been since I restarted MFP in September. So I am not disappointed at all. I know that there were some poor choices that I made over the past week and I'm glad that they didn't make my weight shoot up!…

QOTD: This isn't really a food that I've incorporated, but I've been making myself open-faced sandwiches - which saves me about 120 calories a day! And the bread I buy lasts twice as long!
-
Tell me about it! Tea is so easy to make, yet it's even easier to reach for a bag of potato chips (my downfall). But it's always worth it once I do make it :)

And I'm baaaaaaaaack in the saddle! W2(b)D1: 4+6+4+4+13 = 31 knee pushups!!! I only got through 24 on my first attempt at W2D1. I love how easy it is to see improvement in this challenge. It's all in the numbers

Every time I get on this thread I am surprised by how fast it's going!!! I really need to be better at catching up - but so glad to be a part of it with you ladies!! 1) Pumpkin Puree is now officially added to my grocery list. Yum. 2) Way to go, Gonks!!! I'm soooo close to the 150s so I know what an achievement…

Wow I totally forgot about this challenge over the weekend :( No excuses. It was homecoming weekend, I was entertaining friends and spent a lot of time watching football and drinking and celebrating - and I just FORGOT. Not to worry, I'm not disappearing on you!! Based on the exhaustion test I took today, I'm going to…

Week 2 done! W2D3 results are in! 5+7+5+5+11 = 33!! Exhaustion test on Saturday!!

@ Meag: OH!! Hmmm, I guess I haven't really thought about rockcliming goals. I'm definitely sticking with it (it's fun, and if I don't stick with it, I don't pass the class!) I've made my own personal goals at the end of most classes - like when I am unable to complete a route, I move on, but with the intention of coming…

@ Meggonkgonk: Yep, I'm Meredith! Thanks for the suggestions - veggies are something that I need to be more conscious about eating everyday. And I LOVE hummus. I need to get to the grocery store soon, so I'll be sure to linger in the veggie section looking for something snackable. @ Meagalayne - yes I am still doing the…

It's a challenge for me too! What sort of healthier snacks have you found?? Usually I go for a yogurt (if I still feel like I want something after dinner) or baby carrots if I need something other than chips to munch on. I would LOVE to branch out, but I'm not that creative with my snacks...

Kattungen: To lose 5 lbs :) kvr413: lose 10 lbs, thanksgiving included, which will put me at 169! Meggonkgonk: To reach 157 lbs & to run the first 2 weeks of my 10k running program (mileage13-14 and 15-16) Emmyworthy: To reach 199lbs & to swim 3 times a week. ksv123: to lose 3 pounds (yes, including Thanksgiving!!), and…

Woohoo!! The November Challenge  I know I've been gone for a few days, and I have a LOT to catch up on!! My life has been crazy the past few days - so I had to wait until now for my check-in at the end of October. I only lost about 1.5 pounds during the October challenge. So although, I did not meet my scale goal…
