  • I have kept one pair of jeans as a reminder of how far I've come. The rest, I've donated or sold on ebay. I've actually made about $500 on ebay selling clothes.
  • Way to go!!!!! Awesome!
  • Awesome!!!!! I was in American Eagle the other day, and the girl said "You will need a medium in that top" I said "I love you for thinking that, but, i'll stick with a large" LOL It's very weird I wonder if we will ever get used to it?

  • Good job!!! Sorry you guys weren't recognized for your hard work. That is sucky
  • Hi Frances, welcome! I had my VSG June 24, 2014, so we are pretty close in dates. I am sorry to hear about your dad. My father in law passed away in December. It's rough. Hard to stay on track while dealing with that. Congratulations on your engagement! You can totally reach your goals! Just take baby steps, and work at it…
  • You can also quick add, finish your day so it posts, then remove the quick added calories so it reflects your actual day. That's what I do
  • Amazing! You are doing awesome! Congratulations! I agree that the sleeve is such a blessing! I had mine done June 24, 2014, and i'm about 15 pounds from goal, and off all medications. Could not have done it without the sleeve
  • I'm 8 months out and I STILL get nauseous when I drink water! I drink crystal light, vitamin water, or lemon water. My goal this week is to drink 3 cups of plain water per day (on top of the other for a total of 8) It's been a struggle for sure! One thing to try is, drink your water at different temperatures. I like mine…
  • I'm on a prescribed iron supplement right now. Both my doctor and my dietician said to take it with vitamin C. I take it every night with some juice, and my omega 3 pill. I take my prenatal vitamin about an hour later. I can't take any of them in the morning, they upset my stomach too much. I don't have to take calcium
  • I am on the west coast of beautiful British Columbia. The weather is gorgeous these days
  • I'm 8 months out, feel free to add me (anyone who is looking for friends)
  • I eat anywhere from 900 to 1600 depending on how much exercise I do, and how hungry I am. I am 8 months out, down 112 pounds, and have about 15 to go until i'm at goal.
  • I don't have any quotes, but I just wanted to say i'm glad you are feeling better. Constipation is the worst! I have issues with it all the time, always have. Re: your surgery date, just focus on all the steps you are doing to get yourself ready. It will be here before you know it! Practice what you are going to do…
  • I've decided that i'm not eating enough (let's be honest, i'm not eating ANY) fruits or veggies these days, so I am eating a piece of fruit for breakfast every morning (lately it's cantaloupe) I also have a latte (or similar) from starbucks. (I get grande) In my past life, I would have a venti whatever from starbucks, AND…
  • re Rice: I can eat about 1 TBSP. If we are having rice with a meal, I measure 1 TBSP onto my plate. I eat it fine. I'm not a huge rice fan though, so I've never really tried to eat more. Funny thing, now that i'm 8 months post op (almost) I've actually craved rice. I HATED it before! I've begged hubby to take me for sushi…
  • My dietician told me that at one year, 1200 is the baseline. Then she said it will all depend on activity level, age, weight, and so on. I aim for 1200 right now. I'm 8 months post op. I'm 16lbs away from goal. Once I get to goal, that 1200 will change, because i'll be in maintenance. I will discuss that with my dietician…
  • Hi there! Welcome!!! How are you finding your preop diet? I had my surgery June 24, so i'm 7 months out and everything is great! No regrets!
  • 2 months: 38.4 pounds down 4 months: 55.4 pounds down 6 months: 68.6 pounds down I am now 7 months, my weight has pretty much stalled this past month. I have 20 to go to get to goal. I'm not too worried. I know it will eventually come off :)
  • I am currently dealing with this. My doctor has me on a prescribed iron supplement to help, and my gynecologist has put me on birth control pills to help as well (My periods are out of control. Last one was 26 days long - sorry TMI) i'm in Canada though, so i'm sure what i'm taking is different than what you have. It does…

  • I'm 6 months out. Surgery was June 24 Feel free to add me. I'm pretty good at journaling, just not that great at making good choices LOL
  • I think I was told 3 months for lettuce and nuts. I specifically remember being told 6 months for popcorn. I was six months on Dec 24, and I had popcorn. I only had a handful, and that was good enough for me. I eat lettuce now, but not a lot. I crave salad somedays. Like last night, I was out at a family dinner. There was…
  • I chose to NOT tell people. I'm down almost 100 pounds and nobody is suspicious because I've been "dieting" for over two years LOL Anyone who knew that I was having surgery was told that I was having my gallbladder removed, and a hiatial hernia repair. Which was partially true since I did have a hiatial hernia LOL
  • Mine started at 3 months. It's not at all noticeable, because I have a TON of hair, but it's annoying, finding hair everywhere! I had to buy a broom to sweep my bathroom everyday. I'm now 5 months out and it has slowed down significantly.
  • Isn't it AWESOME!!!! I got there on Sunday!!! Congratulations! When was your surgery date?
  • Congratulations & welcome! I'm Jeanne and I had VSG on June 24, 2014.
  • Congratulations!!!!
  • If you do go in to have your surgery and you have it, just tell the nurse. They are all great, and very helpful. They've seen it all before LOL Also, be prepared for your cycle to be all wonky after surgery. I got mine 10 days early, and it was bad. Lasted longer than normal too. I'm 3 months out, and better now, but my…
  • I am so sorry for your loss
  • I weigh myself everyday, but I only weigh in officially once a week. Every Saturday. IF I hit a milestone number, I do record it. Like when I hit 80lbs lost this week, I recorded it, even though it wasn't Saturday. I have always been a daily weigher, and will probably continue to do so.
  • *Deep breaths* I felt like I was on a roller coaster! My emotions were all over the place! It made me very anxious, but I was also excited at the same time! I felt like at any moment, someone was going to say "Just kidding! You aren't really going to have your surgery! haha jokes on you!" That didn't happen obviously,…
