10/27/12 Did the Virginia Beach Wicked 10K today. Windy 1st day of a stormy few days. Awesome day to run though. Ran my best time. 6.28miles was what Mr Garmin said it turned out to be. Total to date is around 62 according to the spread sheet. Thanks Coori, Dan

Hello last week in October. Got a 10K on Saturday, the Wicked 10K, but today I did a quick 6 miler to prepare. So that's 56 for the month to this date. Would've had more if I didn't have to work so much. It's good to be working, I know. I'll do better next month.

7 mi for total so far of 49 miles. Work really gets in the way sometimes. I'm disappointed.

Did my first 1/2 marathon in October after picking up running seriously the preceding March. With MapMyRun, I found a 6, 8.5, 10 & 13.1 mile courses that I alternate depending on schedule. 9/30: 10 miles 9/24 & 9/25: 8.5 each day= 17 9/20 & 9/21: 6 each day= 12 I did the Virginia Beach Rock n' Roll half marathon the first week of the September for 13.1 So for September, I can recall at least 53 miles. Now that I know how to record it. I'll be more accurate. Thanks!! Dan

In addition to some quality cycling shorts, apply anti-chafe cream (Butt Buddr) on your perineal area. The rubbing and chafing along with the pressure sitting on that narrow seat for a long ride is how the problem manifests. Don't let it stop you from cycling though! We've ALL been through that. Yeah, my Garmin 310 does all that and more. I use it on runs, on the bike, walking the dogs(someitmes).
