You were cute before...and now you are beautiful and healthy! Well done!

Thank you...for now I'm walking and working on some yoga which I can modify to not hurt so much...

I ended up with a 80 pound weight gain in the first pregnancy. 40 pounds were from the last three months. I lost all of the weight but 5 pounds by the time I was pregnant the second time, and gained 60 pounds the second time. Luckily I was in the best shape in my life before I got pregnant, and although I was heavy as a…

Wow...the sarcasm almost put me off of the thread, but I thought maybe my personal experience would be beneficial (I might be wrong). First pregnancy I worked out until I was 8 months...and then I walked. I was power lifting and coaching power lifting. I ran. I rode my bike. I rowed as a sub on a rowing team. I completed a…

At 185 pounds, I can do 2 sets of 10 push-ups on my toes. My goal is to do 3 pullups. Oh, and it is so much easier to haul around my 5 and 6 year olds.

I have wrapped my wrist and iced it the last couple days, and it is feeling so much better...I have a past of tendonitis and know it can reoccur, and I'm trying to remember exactly where it hurt last time (It was 23 years ago).

I was just going to ask if Prowlers sprints were the same as sled sprints....I have also used parachute runs to condition, but it has been a long time since! And Lydia- The hair is adorable! I am always jealous of pixie cuts! They are so impish!

I just checked this, and it says on a typical day I burn about 3,000 calories (not including exercise or lifting). Which means that my goal of 1650 is very low, and also explains why I am having difficulty only eating 1600 calories. Maybe I will up it to 1800 and see what happens. I have gained 5 pounds since I started…

I actually laughed out loud at this and thought the same thing the first time I did it as well. It gets less scary every time you do it. :drinker: I did WO B today. Had to cut it down to only 3 sets because of time, but managed: OHP 3x5 @ 80. Last set I was only able to do 4 Squat 3x5 @ 135 Deadlift 3x3 for first two sets…

I will read everything tomorrow when I have more time, but wanted to check in for workout... Bench 4x5 for 110 Row 4x5 for 85 Squat 4x5 for 135. Felt good today. I didn't have time for one more set all the way around, so stopped at 4 sets and 2 warm up sets. Squat felt particularly good today. I am well below parallel now,…

If you have two flat back sturdy chairs, you could also turn them back to back and rest the bar across the top to pick up...

AND...drum roll please...your brain thinks using CARBS!! I did not lift this week...was a $hita$$ week and couldn't get to where I needed to be. Next week will be better. Next week better be better...:explode:

OMG Erin! YES! This is my biggest obstacle. To do SL twice a week and add in one day of interval running. To drop 3 of the 6 pounds I gained last month from stress eating.

I like to fill my three minutes of rest time with another exercise. So if I'm resting for deadlift, I might be doing OHP. I circuit through my workout. My lifts are still progressing fairly well, and I've gone from 95 to 135 on squat, 90 to 105 on bench, 55 to 75 on rows, 50 to 70 on OHP and 115 to 145 on DL (5 weeks worth…

I am seriously crabby today. Wasn't able to workout because of a student crisis during my planning time. Tomorrow is a 11 hour day because of report card pick up and I've gained 6 pounds in 4 weeks. GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR. I am so angry that I can't effectively deal with the stress from work through exercise. I'm stress eating…

Are you concerned that you are going to hurt yourself? I'm not sure what the concern is? Do you not have a squat rack? Or just never used one previously?
-
I exercise for the same reasons...it quells my anxiety about everyday life and keeps me from eating emotionally. Good for you! It's so rewarding to have your hard work recognized!

You have done fabulously to better your health...and you look gorgeous. I am most amazed however, by the apparently giant man standing next to you in the first picture. You are tall, and he is easily a foot taller in that pic!!!

I'm the "skinny Bi$%h" with "good genes." :drinker: Exact quote BTW.

Warmed up with conventional deadlifts today and then switched to sumo...can really feel it in my butt...

Just finished a few "medicinal drinkies" myself...it was a lonnnggggggg week. Had to do my Thursday workout today...but got almost all of it in today. OHP: 4X5 of 75 pounds Set 4 was difficult. Squat: 4x5 of 135. Squat felt awesome today. knees feel good (finally) Deadlift: 4x5 of 145. I did my warm up regular style and…

I am afraid about my workout getting too long. I will never finish if it gets over an hour...Willing to take other ideas! This week only did 3x5 instead of 5x5. If I go to the rec it will take much longer because I will have to do one exercise at a time. It is awfully rude to hog three areas in the weight room at a time,…

Yes...I was talking about Sumo lifts. I was training students to compete competitively and this was the lift of choice. I prefer it. I can do conventional lifts, but they feel exceptionally awkward to me. Sumo mimics the motion I would use to lift something heavy. Maybe I will start to alternate just to keep up good…

I supplement with creatine. I notice that I put muscle on faster than I did before creatine. I noticed that I can get queasy after I lift if I take it before I lift. I have not noticed that I am smarter.

@ Roxy: Prayers and light to your family for their loss. @ Lydia: Have you ever tried froggy style deadlift? I use a wide stance (wider than shoulders) with my arms inside my knees, and it allows me to get my hips below parallel and not use my back when I deadlift. Today was WO A for me Squat: 3X5 @ 130 # This felt REALLY…

I am most like women in Qatar...accept they would stone me to death there...lmbo. I am 53% lower than the other US women 30-44, but 83% over the rest of the world. This made me laugh out loud. I hate BMI.

Any object with mass has a gravitational pull my friend...:drinker:

I am 5'7" and 183ish (depends on the day of the month). I am set at 1650 per day and I eat back my exercise calories. I should be slowly dropping weight, but I tend to emotionally eat and am usually closer to 2600 calories a day. If I could just quit work... heavy sigh. I try to hit 100 gram or more of protein a day…

I have not read though all of this thread, but I just thought I'd quickly add that I have gone through sugar withdrawal...it's a little like caffeine withdrawal, but with out the headaches. It sucks, but it will be over soon. From one of your posts, I gather that you had an issue with drugs and got over it...did you by…

I had a student video my form at work for me, and my form is much better than I thought for squat...I am keeping my weight lower to focus on my knees tracking outward instead of inward over my toe. I dropped down to 95 pounds and working up from there. So for today.... Squat: 5x5 @ 125lbs Bench: 5x5 @ 105lbs Row: 5x5 @…
