  • I also see a huge difference! You are too cute for your own good.:drinker:
  • I stepped out of my way to let me pass...and then realized I was looking at my reflection in the window of a door. Felt pretty silly.
  • My husband hates make-up, but that being said, every now and then he likes me to get 80s throw back with black eyeliner, wrap around the head blue eye shadow and lined lips. It makes him feel dangerous. lol.:drinker: I prefer easy...so cover up the bags under my eyes and go...
  • Have you ever read about body dysmorphia? When your mind doesn't register what is reality, you have dysmorphia. Some people have mild dysmorphia, and some people can lose 150 pounds and look in the mirror and still see themselves as 300 pounds. If you were heavy when you were young, or for a long time, it WILL take your…
  • You are a beautiful example to your family, and that is something to be proud of!
  • My lean body mass is about 135 pounds. I am 5'7" and 180. I am aiming to lose maybe 15 more pounds. My goal is to keep my lean mass as high as possible. I am nearing 40, and I want muscle to lose. I would be perfectly happy to stay 180 and have my lean mass increase to 145...for me it's all about having the strength to do…
  • bumping because I am roflmao!
  • Start lifting. Work on good form for your lifts at low weights for a while if you have never lifted. If your form is good then jack up the weight to the heaviest that you feel comfortable with. You will be amazed at what your body will look like with good muscle structure--even with some loose skin.
  • He is quite pretty. I can't cope with men who use more hair product than I however...
  • Nobody...order out! Or eat ice cream right out of the container...
  • OMG! Why didn't I think of THIS?
  • You mean O Captain, my Captain's chair? :drinker:
  • OP this is very timely for me. thank you for the reminder that we are not alone. I also am not comfortable at OA meetings, and my family laughs at the idea that food can be addictive. I think that with the right combination of genes and environment, just about anything can become addictive...food was my crutch for many…
  • Bacon in and of itself is not bad...one piece of bacon is 80 calories and about 10 grams of protein. You need both. The problem lies with people who have been trained to eat when they feel bad or when they are stressed or when they are happy or when they have no concept of satiety. Then bacon becomes a problem...and so…
  • Currently 180-185 and a US size 12 @ 5'7". Goal is 165 and I'm guessing a size US 8.
  • My husband thinks women with no muscular definition look flabby--even if they are thin. I carry quite a bit of lean mass, and he doesn't seem to mind my goal of gaining more. I will say that I agree with the comment that whatever looks and feels good to you is right for you...:drinker: I personally want muscle to lose, so…
  • I am presently taking a break from lifting to train for a half marathon in May. I will go back to lifting in June. I have power lifted since high school...taking a break only during pregnancy. I lost a ton of strength during those breaks though, especially in my lower body. When I was 17 my single lift max for bench was…
  • I just have to do my last fit test. I have lost 10 pounds, but I haven't done final measurements. I can tell you my shoulders are a good deal bigger and my butt is quite a bit higher then before. It was hard to do, but got easier and was worth the pain. I wish I had had a partner...
  • Any change in diet and exercise changes your hormones. My guess is that your body is adjusting your hormones, and your skin is showing the difference. Give it a month or so.

  • Your butt looks great! Nice work!
  • Any tracking device is useful; if you are showing a general downward trend, then you are losing something. I had my lean mass tested and it was 137 (I used to powerlift and carry a lot of muscle for a woman). I estimate it to be about 130-135, and have based my goal weight of 165 on this. 165 will put me between a size 10…
  • You were pretty before, and now you are gorgeous! Good work!
  • I dislike BMI immensely. Although it is good to track SOMETHING, this is really a bad number to look at, especially if you are muscular. For example, the gentleman that said he plans to drop his BMI back down to 22 and then gain muscle and hopefully stay at the same number would have to grow in inches to stay at the same…

  • I LOVE the potato picture. You look great. For your knees I would say take it slow. Add miles gradually as your strength builds. If they get sore take an ant-inflammatory (naproxen, ibprofen, etc) and use ice to ease swelling or soreness. I have knee pain and deal with it this way. The pain has gotten MUCH better since…
  • Everyday in the morning after I pee and before I get dressed...even on weekends. I also write it down every day and don't consider a weightloss "true" unless it is maintained for 5 days...However i only take measurements the first Saturday of the month.
  • I especially love the one about your sister...as much as we know we shouldn't compare ourselves to other people, it;s such a human thing to do! GReat work!

  • Estoy frustrada y cansada...muy, muy cansada. I would love to sleep for days and days without having to cater to my family or pets or student or boss or clean my house or do laundry or drive anywhere. Just rest. I never knew it was possible to function and be this tired. It might even explain my plateau. Can you still lose…
  • Ummmm...how are you not a success story? Really...90 pounds is no joke my friend!
  • I am losing while eating at least 2000 calories a day (with eating back my exercise calories). I tried a net as low as 1300 and I am too active. I think for some women 1200 could work...but these women may be older, with less muscle and lower body weight than I. My net is about 1600 with at least 100 gram or protein a…
  • I am 5'7" and started at 257...lost 80 pounds after highschool and then again after my son. Am working on the last 20 from my daughter. My goal is 160-165. I am 184 right now.
