I work a desk job with similar hours. I keep a few canned items at my desk; soup, beef stew, tuna. Mostly, I plan my week's lunches on Sunday (shopping day). This week for Mon & Tues, I brought a turkey and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, bell pepper slices (my crunch instead of chips), and watermelon. Today I…

I used to work in a small office and now I'm working in a big plant in a building with over 500 employees. My pet peeve here is constantly having company. I walk in from the parking lot and so does ten other people, I go to the bathroom and so does ten other women, I take the stairs and so do ten other people. My family…

The coworker that wants to stop me and chat about himself for 30 minutes....yes I've started doing the "keep walking thing" to him. The coworker in the next cube who has the squeaky chair and seems to squeak it to his headphone music! Yes, you left early today and I WD40'd your chair.

Most of my daily logging is during the week because I'm at work on the computer anyway and also I like to check in and read the message boards. Plus, I am trying to see how many calories I can have for dinner or if I can fit in that afternoon snack. Both times I have stopped tracking my food I have put on weight. So…

Have you updated your stats on your Garmin? I did this once and realized I hadn't changed my weight on my Garmin in over a year.

If I'm at home eating French fries I'll add ketchup and drench the ketchup in sea salt. OMG so good.

What type of Garmin did you have? If it leaked or broke Garmin may even replace it. I've used my Garmin 920XT for the past four years and so far so good. I usually swim about 2 or 3 times a week. It syncs real well to the Garmin Connect app, training peaks, Strava, and also MFP.

I agree with @NovemberSkye . I slowly reduced my sweet coffee creamer and switched to just plain cream. I'm trying now to slowly reduce the cream and hope to be able to drink it black soon. It takes time though. Good luck!

Taters, Maters, Fixins......ok I'm from the South but these word murders kill me!

My #1 is at my gym's pool. When lap time is scheduled (the schedule is huge and takes up the whole wall at the entrance to the pool lanes and it's in bright colors) and people not lap swimming take up a whole lane for dancing/walking/skipping underwater. Here I am trying to get in some laps sets and they are screaming…

At work I got on the elevator on the 6 th floor needing to go down to the 1st floor. I punched #6 and the doors opened again.......after doing this twice I realized what I was doing...duh. I played it off as being a long day to the audience that had gathered.

Not sure if you like fitness gadgets but, I use a Garmin 920XT along with a heart monitor for my run/walks to estimate my calorie burn and distance. I like that it beeps/vibrates to tell me it's time to run and/or walk. I had a few friends that recommended the run/walk method by Jeff Galloway. Saying that it helped them…

This is a great idea. We are celebrating National Pi day in the office today with pizza. I'll try this!

The bold, I love it LOL. I usually tell my watch to shut up, but it's nice to see someone using those features :D [/quote] I have it set for the 4 minute run and 1 minute walk. Sometimes it turns into a 5 minute walk :D

I love my tech toys too! I never thought much about them until I saw your post and I think I'm obsessed with them...lol. For running/walking/swimming I wear my heart rate strap along with my Garmin 920XT. I love the run/walk set up where it beeps to let me know when to run or walk. For biking I use my Garmin 510 that I…

I need an ear :( Hello again everyone! I have commented on here a time or two. I am terrible about daily viewing, but I plan to tag this group so I can keep up. I'm turning 54 this year and so mad at my body that I can't stand myself. I'm still having "the flow" and it's not on a schedule. Just when I've tracked it and…

I haven't posted on this thread in a long time. However, I read it every day and get inspired. Well last evening I had a NSV! I've been forced inside lately to do my cardio due to a lot of rain. Yesterday I needed to get my run in so I went to the gym after work and it was packed. I usually get a treadmill closer to the…

My husband and I stay active. He is 56 and I'm 53 and we are both triathletes. All of our training friends are old enough to be our kids but we don't care. We say this all the time, "you don't stop when you get old, you get old when you stop."

Some of my iPod songs are 5FDP, Volbeat, Disturbed, Shinedown, Godsmack. Also, I have some pop music like Confident by Demi Lavato, The Champion by Carrie Underwood ft. Ludacris, I miss me more by Kelsea Ballerini. I have some old school like Rick Springfield, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar. I also like Greater by MercyMe it's…

Taco Soup is my favorite right now. I make it in the crockpot. Cook ground turkey with a taco seasoning packet and add that to your crockpot. Then add one cream cheese cube, one can of chicken broth, two cans of Rotel. Cook for two hours on high or four hours on low. This gets me through the week for lunch. You can top it…

I bought two dorm room (oversized) twin comforter quilts for our king sized bed. My OH always pulled the covers off of me and I'd wake up really mad and cold. The two comforters overlap in the middle and solved the problem. Now he just he pulls the covers off of himself :D

I guess I get swimgry............I get so hungry after my swims. Running and biking not so much.

I'm still dabbling at this meal prep thing. Mostly just planning our menu ahead and making sure we have something cooked or ready to cook so we don't make bad choices. Plus my guy is picky. Here is what I came up with this week. Breakfast: I've been skipping it lately but next week I'm trying the egg muffins. Lunch (for…
