  • I loved your post. I've never tried Yoga because I'm afraid of farting or getting tickled at someone else farting...lol. I did get asked not to come back to a step class once :# Who knew you had to be coordinated to step...lol.
  • ^^This exactly! All the tops out there seem to be too low now. I had to buy a Halftee to wear under stuff so I'm covered.

  • I've gotten the full sensation too! Usually what comes to my mind is "oh my gosh" all this chewing is killing me. LOL.....
  • We were told at work to get used to the "new normal"........ugh!
  • I agree with the "Do it anyway" comment. I didn't want to workout last night after work but I put my workout clothes on and did it anyway. Felt so much better afterward too:) Plan your meals, use a food scale, weigh regularly, and find likeminded friends.
  • I use my Garmin to track my swims and I love it. Those calories burned do look inflated. I do good to get 160 calories burned for a 40 minute freestyle session. But then again I don't flip turn and that may slow down my burn.

  • Even though yesterday was rainy I got in my long run and a swim that I had been putting off :) Also got in some meal prep. Yay!
  • Starting my 70.3 HIM training today. I'm hoping LCHF will be good to me during my endurance training. We will see.
  • I had room in my bike shorts for my keys...yay! Usually I try to put them there and they dig into me so I'm forced to put them in my jacket pocket.
  • Sometimes I'll do up/down intervals on the spin bike. Ride standing up for a few minutes then ride setting on the saddle for a few minutes.
  • I've been doing LC for just a few months. I love the weight loss and my sugar cravings have stopped.
  • I have to be at work too early for a morning workout and don't like the rushed feeling at lunch since I only have 45 minutes. I do like to take a little walk around our work campus with a coworker every day at noon for some fresh air and sunshine. My real workouts are after work :)
  • "Just keep moving forward" got me through my first half ironman. I repeat it in my head all the time when I want to quit. It works even better in the voices of my best tri girlfriends :)
  • Have you tried them scrambled with Worcestershire sauce? I seemed to do better with an egg that is scrambled and is spiced up with salt/pepper/lemon pepper. Other than eggs, my go to is cottage cheese with blueberries.
  • Hello! I'm 5'5", sw:153, cw: 134. I'm not sure if I eat clean but I cook everything and enjoy eating out a few times a month. I'm big into meat and veggies and currently I'm doing low carb. But once my tri season starts (in April) I'll have to up the carbs. What works for me is I'm constantly biking, running, or swimming.…
  • Have you thought about finding people in your area for group activities? Look for something you like to do or maybe something out of your comfort zone. Try looking on social media for local activities. Sometimes when I get at a "tired of all this" place with my diet and exercise I get out on my bike with friends. I'm not…
  • What works for me is during the week I log each morning. I usually eat the same things a few days in a row which makes it easier. On the weekends I log all during the day. I have significantly stopped eating out (fast food) due to trying to maintain a low carb diet.
  • I've slowly weaned myself off of sugar sweetened coffee and now I'm trying to do the same with my half n' half. It's slow but worth it.
  • One of my coworkers just joined MFP. She said it was to keep an eye on her daughter who just joined :D Our office had Pies yesterday for National Pie Day, I didn't partake and everyone had to come by and show me their pies and go yum....lol. So funny how people act when you don't follow the crowd.
  • Having pie at work today..........too bad it's at work...lol.
  • Went mountain biking with some guy friends over the weekend. We had a blast with lots of riding over rocks, roots, and even a creek crossing. We passed a group of hikers, that looked to be a set of grandparents/kids/and grandchildren. I gave them a heads up about the creek crossing. I overheard the older lady say, "one of…
  • I didn't like the taste of artificial sugar in my coffee so I used real sugar with some half n' half. Then I slowly stopped putting sugar in my coffee. It took me a few months but now I'm only using a splash of half n' half. Hope to eventually get to where I can drink it black. I did that method with sweet tea and now I…
  • I like doing my own thing. Too many times in the past I have invited someone along and they end up wanting to change everything about my activity. So no more, I just take my iPod and go alone.
  • Swim (Pool & Open Water) Bike (Road & Trail) Run (Road & Trail) Yoga Insanity or P90X (for weights)
  • "I mean", "with that being said", "in other words"...... any of that :s
  • I would love to fat bike! They look like fun. I'm just regular mtbing :) I am using my full suspension this season and not my hardtail. Man, I must be getting soft but that hardtail beat me up! ..lol...
  • I was surprised when I checked the calories of my favorite Longhorn Steakhouse dish. I love their Parmesan Crusted Chicken.......loved is more like it now. It is 1260 calories (almost my entire day's worth) or 630 if you only eat half. I figured out a way to make it less calories at home :)
  • Hello everyone! I'm new to the page. It's nice to see my own age group in the title. I'm always either too old or too young for the groups. I don't usually make New Year's Resolutions. But this year I am going to lower my added sugar intake aka stop adding it to my coffee and oatmeal. So far I'm okay with it...we will see.…
  • I like to keep canned food at my desk. My favorite is mixing a can of chicken with a can of Rotel. Most canned items don't need heating up. I also keep peanut butter to eat with cut up veggies.
