  • That surprise restaurant lunches/dinners with my OH won't throw me into a frenzy anymore. I'll be there in the moment enjoying it without worrying about killing my calorie count for the day. I'll get back on track tomorrow.
  • I used to manually track my calories in a composition book and found it to be tedious. Now that I'm on the pc for home and work (& phone) it's much easier to pop over to MFP and add or subtract food. But do what ever works for you :) You are the one that matters! BTW.....I'm 5' 5" also!

  • I do this with Hershey's Dark Chocolate Kisses.............yum!
  • 11.29 miles so far. Yay! I'm in double digits :)
  • @deannalfisher I got to spectate at Augusta when my boyfriend did it in 2012 and I've had it on my bucket list ever since. The people there are really good to the athletes and I just loved the atmosphere. I have a bunch of friends that did it two years in a row. I'm lucky to have a handful of friends going with me this…

  • Hello! I'm a cyclist turned triathlete. I'm currently training for Augusta 70.3 which is in September. So glad to see other halfers:) I've done a few super sprints, sprints, and an oly. Can't wait to try my luck with the half distance. I've been a spectator at most of the IM events since my OH does the full distance races.…

  • 7.74 miles for me so far this year. Sweet, I never thought to track my swims. It looks so much more impressive in yards ;)
  • Sure! I'll need to look back at my notes and come back later.
  • Monday through Friday I get up at 4:15 am. I spend 15 minutes with my coffee and the local news. Then I'm getting ready for work and my commute. I eat breakfast at my desk around 7:30 (yogurt or oatmeal). I like getting up early on weekends if I have an early workout planned. If I'm doing a long group ride then up early…
  • I gave away a box full of blue jean short shorts to an ex coworker. She commented that she couldn't believe I couldn't wear them anymore..................I told her of course I can wear them but I don't want to....lol...
  • I use my trainer when I have time constraints or it's raining outside. I usually watch a movie or a TV show. If I'm at the gym using the spin bikes then I like my music. Examples are Disturbed, Volbeat, Pop, fast beat country. I like all kinds of music :)
  • Congratulations! That is awesome! I'm at 1200 per day also. It's good to be happy :)
  • Goal right now is to train all summer for a half distance triathlon in September. I want to be able to wear my tri kit without looking like the Michelin woman :)
  • Yes, anything 5FDP! Volbeat is great too!
  • You look so much taller! Congratulations!
  • If I lived alone I would meal prep more often. My SO won't eat the same foods for more than two days in a row and it's a chore just keeping him interested in eating at home. I do love to make ahead the egg sandwiches and also breakfast burritos. I started using the mason jars for veggies and they stay fresh so much longer…
  • I'm using a Training Peaks plan just for Augusta. It's on September 24th. I'm pretty excited about it! A group of us do open water swims at a nearby park/lake.
  • My boss............his cigarette and coffee breath :s
  • Hi! I'm Stephanie and I'm into cycling and stumbling my way through the other two disciplines ;) I am currently training for Ironman 70.3 Augusta. If you would like some company give me a shout! Plus, if you want some humorous friends send a friend request to Pathetic Triathlete on Facebook. It is great fun!
  • I have a girlfriend that brings her daughter every time we plan something. I've become accustomed to it but sure wish it could just be adults once in a while. Not planning on drinking or partying just catching up.
  • Mine is the one guy who won't eat at the normal lunch time with everyone else. Nope, he has to eat after we all get back to our desks. So we get to listen to him slurp and crunch his food at his desk.................. :s Plus, some days my ear buds are a godsend.....especially when he has to talk loudly about his…
  • Yesterday, I had a guy get on the spin bike directly in front of me.........I was the only person spinning in a room full of 20 bikes! I was practicing aero and had to stare at his butt for the last 30 minutes of my ride. He didn't smell good or bad thank goodness. Even if that was my favorite bike I wouldn't get in…
  • I got a new one for Christmas a year ago and still am not sure how to use it. I'm in for ideas:)
  • It sounds like the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution isn't really your type of challenging workout. Everyone is different and some like dancing type workouts and some like weighted workouts, etc. How about instead of quitting the program (since that may depress you) just do that workout every other day or even once a week.…
  • This gang loves to stop and watch when I ride by on my bicycle.
  • I changed mine to 1300 when I noticed I kept going over 1200.
  • I am nearsighted and wear contacts with my goggles to do open water swims (in a lake). I wear only goggles at the pool. I haven't had any problems pairing my contacts with goggles so far. I try and focus on the black line on the bottom of the pool and when it turns into a "T" I slow down and prepare for the switch. Can you…
  • Johnson City, Tennessee here!
  • I once saw that lady drag a pool chair (one handed) from one end of the pool to the other so she could put her gym bag on it. The reason I saw her is that it made the most horrendous screeching sound echoing off the walls! Everyone in the pool area stopped and looked at her.
  • I have always been active but I did slide a little when I went back to school. I worked 40+ hours a week, and night school and constant homework on the weekends. The month I graduated my fiancé was participating in an iron distance triathlon. He dropped a tremendous amount of weight for this event. Just to be curious I…
