Hello! When I started my life over (after my divorce) I suddenly had free time. I lost weight in the beginning and decided that I wanted to keep it off. I didn't have the funds for a gym or trainer so I would go to the local college track and walk/run for hours on end. Then got my bike out of storage and started to ride…

I've been trying the overnight oats and they are pretty good. Oats, almond milk, honey, salt, cinnamon, frozen blueberries let set overnight. Microwave then add banana & nuts. Sometimes for lunch I'll heat up oatmeal with broth and add a can of mixed vegetables...pretty good! I plan to try different versions of the…

Risk Analysis..........set in a cube all day and review spreadsheet data........yep boring.

You look like a different person! Great job!!!

I like to add a small amount of sweet kids cereal (like Cocoa Pebbles) to my All Bran:)

Hi! I'm also 5'5". I started out at 153 then dropped to 133. After entering all my information into MFP they allowed me 1256 calories (I rounded it up to 1300). I have a sedentary desk job so that puts me into the less calorie range. It has worked for me so far...but I did stray some last summer (used maintenance calories…

Frozen grapes are good too!

Love your coloring! I'm shadowing my fiancés Ironman training right now. So I'm swimming, running, or cycling after work. Makes for a crazy hurried commute home to get to it. Then Friday's are resting at my gym's pool. But...I do like me some couch time :)

I love me some watermelon!!!! I've been bringing some for lunch for a month now that we are getting ripe ones in our stores:)

I can't handle gels either. For my mtn biking and road biking, I've been using Infinit nutrition for two years now and it works great for me. For up to 30 miles, I use one bottle of Infinit and one bottle of sports drink or even water. For 30+ mile rides, I take two bottles of Infinit and carry Honey Stinger waffels. I…

Not sure if you have a Jason's Deli but their chicken wraps are around 400 calories and if you get the fruit side with it that's about 40 some calories. If I add a small portion of their ice cream it usually runs me about 540 calories. It's my go to meal when I eat out. Unless I have more calories:)

I keep canned chicken (I like Tyson Premium White Chicken) on hand. It's 300 calories a can. I like to add a can of Rotel (or any canned diced tomatoes) to it also. That is maybe 45 calories a can. I also bring cut up fruit and veggies from home; watermelon, mango, apples, strawberries, bell peppers, cucumbers. I do like…

I used to be hooked on Mtn. Dews too! I did my withdrawal in steps. I cut down to two a day for a few weeks, then switched to the caffeinated diet Mtn. Dew for a few weeks (I had a hard time with the artificial sweetener in it). I now opt for Powerade original (sometimes I water it down), unsweetened tea, water, or coffee…

I have that friend too! Except it's desserts..lol. She knows everything decadent that each restaurant has and wants to split it. I don't even want to split things like that. I really don't even think of dessert when I eat out. I love her to death but I have slowed down our "lunches" due to it. Now if there are more than us…

I have motivation problems after work too! I am away from home ten hours a day (Mon-Thurs, 9 hour work day, 1 hour round trip drive time) and have a desk job. I even live within a few blocks walking distance from my gym, but if I don't go straight after work I get side tracked:( Sometimes during the warmer months I can…

I'm wanting to look good in a new cycling kit! It's "athletic fit" and that translates to "show all my rolls"...lol...

You look great! Congrats!!!

I can't stand the taste of sweet tea anymore. Being from the south that is all I used to drink. I drink water or unsweet tea now and feel so much better! If I'm given sweet tea by accident I have to toss it....too sickeningly sweet for me now :)

I used to get that a lot when I ate lunch with or around a group at work. Now I just eat at my desk. I never comment on anyone's food choices (most of the time I'm not even paying attention) and I can't understand why my choices are debatable.....

Thanks ladies! I hope the transition goes smoothly.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group! So glad I found you all! I'm turning 51 this summer. I talked my gyno into letting me continue with my BC pills for one more year. Well, the year will be up soon (August) and I'm so nervous about random periods. Or maybe it's the thought of not being able to control the timing. I've…

I'm making turkey tacos tonight. Ground turkey, taco seasoning, onion, and salsa.....maybe some cheese. I usually like them in a lettuce wrap but tonight I'm splurging and using a taco boat!

I've always wanted to swim before work but can't take the chance with having terrible hair all day (my daily work activities have a way of changing from desk work to presenting a meeting). I can braid mine but I don't usually wear that style to work and it's kind of drastic on me. I do swim after work but by then I have to…

I am 50 and 5'5" and supposed to be at 1,260 calories a day. I bumped it up to 1,300 to round it off and am still losing. I also have a desk job.

Yes, but with certain activities. Outside workouts like cycling, running, and open water swims are better with others. I seem to push myself more and get more out of it. Inside workouts like lifting, gym cardio, pool swims are mostly alone with my ear buds.

Hello Op! Here is my list: Log everyday. Weigh twice a week. Stay in my calorie range daily. Use maintenance calorie range for vacations. Use a food scale. Check restaurant menus in advance when eating out. Bring my lunch to work. Exercise 4/5 times a week.

For me, the hardest part about success is keeping it up. I log onto MFP everyday for the much needed reality check. I like my MFP friends better than IRL friends............My IRL friends are waiting for me to fail:(
