I'm sorry that you don't believe it's possible. It's a documented FACT. As is this: I currently eat MORE than I ate at nearly 600 pounds, and I weigh LESS daily. Why? Metabolism. Hormones. However, I'm glad that you know everything that there is to know about this:)

Most women with PCOS in severe forms DO gain EXTREME amounts of weight with no hormone regulation. The doctors couldn't find the root cause because- obviously- most women *gain* weight when on birth control...and they were like, why are you gaining weight, hrrrmmm And yes, MANY medications that mess with cortisol,…

Yes. that insulin resistance can be the signs of a metabolic disorder. But it does happen. And a lot of the weight that is gained, you'll lose as soon as you're off any medication. It can be triggered by ANY medication. And as for diabetes medications- some of the new injectibles can cause metabolic imbalances that do…

Actually... I gained about 100-140 pounds in 3-5 months. When I went *off* birth control the last time. Since then I have been on some form of hormone control. When my doctor put me back *on* birth control, I lost 50 pounds within 3 months. With NO diet changes. Why you ask? Metabolic disorder called PCOS. So yes. Yes you…

Heart rate monitor is the only way you're going to be accurate. Fitbit is going to be *more* accurate than the treadmill (doesn't have your rmr, etc) There's a reason I always wear my polar when I'm working out and want a good count.

I actually use river stones. I collected a great # when I was living in Illinois and move them from side to side as I lose weight/ gain weight. I hate moving them back and forth.

As a recent celiac diagnosis- aka- no gluten for joo- I feel your pain about missing things in my soup:) Here's my substitutions: Crackers- as they've already been mentioned. Celery. No joke. for some reason i really just miss the crunch and this fixes it. Baby Carrots too. And peppers:) Gluten free bread. I will make some…

For me, and ALWAYS for me. EVERY SINGLE DAY is day 1. Every single bite is the bridge to going back to not caring about what I eat, what I do, etc. So you know what? I do day 1: 365 days a year. 366 some years. And I'm cool with that:) Because this is a LIFETIME not a flipping race. And I have that in my head- and not…

I wish the stride pedometer app was ...well...truly an app:)

Oh yes. Individuals in this thread said they didn't want an overweight or obese nurse caring for them:)

I have been an overweight individual ALL of my life. But, with that caveat, I have to say that I at one point was much more fit than I am now. I'd had a back injury at one point that had spiked my weight, but I had been able to lose the weight. I was a firefighter paramedic before I became an RN. I became a CVICU/ER RN…

I will say that I disagree with those who think she lacks talent. Unfortunately, the girl was born and raised to utilize her voice and acting skills to the max. Just as unfortunately, the performance showed me that she lacks experience when it comes to sexuality, twerking, booty dancing, or whatever it is called at this…

Here's the best review of them: http://allthingsd.com/20130715/fitbit-flex-vs-jawbone-up-and-more-a-wearables-comparison/ You'll be able to sync with the flex with the next interface update that rolls out (bluetooth 4.0 rolling out for all androids). I have a flex after a lot of indecision because I love the insta…

I take topamax with inderal and nortiptyline atm (50mg bid with 60mg inderal slow release, 10 mg nortriptyline). I've been on depakote (bad results- I was COMPLETELY ZONKED) and several others for my migraines (my migraines actually mimic a seizure but aren't seizures. party time. lol). Here's my results: the first few…

I wish I knew the secrets...because it's something I'm always struggling with...

my pcos flares...to the point that I gain hundreds of pounds. What you say? yes. I think the max is 120 pounds in a year. Then, I'll add back in water, exercise, sleep (still not well obviously), and low carbs- or simply more vegetables- and the weight will come off. Honestly, exercise has always been my biggest key. I…

LOL...I love the tapering calories:) I actually cut it in half and split the difference between my ultimate goal and my current goal.. My cats and my neighbors are still alive btw;p

I would love to do this!

For me, it's not deprivation...it is my new lifestyle... If I ate that whole bag of mcdonalds, in 30 mins, I'd be in the bathroom, puking. No lies. Is that really worth it? Not to me. And the other day, at lunch? My seasoned fish dry grilled was much tastier than any burger could have been. Pizza makes me hurl from the…

I have to say, for me, there are worse choices out there for me if I'm reaching for one of those, I'm ok with it:)

For me, I can't do an entire spike day. I can only do a cheat *meal* occasionally when I'm on it. And that's when I'm not feeling like I could go spinning out of control But for me, food is like heroin. I'm a recovering food addict, and I have to be every day for the rest of my life. But, for someone else, they can have…

My 100 calorie snacks? Coconut greek yogurts;p or the yoplait delights;p for my chocolate fix But I can't do the snack packs...i can't stop with one:( and, for a chocolate fix...I love the chocolate covered almonds!!!

I'm 5'11 and 3/4, and my highest weight is 578.6. My goal weight is 240- because of my extremely large frame and my DDs;) my lowest adult weight is 220, and I looked like a sick skeleton- at 235ish I was working out and running- so that's my goal:) I really think we are all different and have different frames and sizes:)
