  • Kind of hard to tell with the glasses, but... Vin Diesel with hair
  • Draft dodger
  • Excellent cowbell...I could use some more of it.
  • YAYYY!! What an inspirational story, I'm highly impressed with the changes you've made. And to have quit smoking in the middle of all this...fanfreakingtastic!! You sir, are a role model.
  • I completely understand, I also have very similar thoughts and fears as you. It's too easy for people who do not understand to say "It's YOU that's worried about all these things"...we know that, we're not so vain as to have these feelings come from a narcissistic or egocentric place, it's been ingrained over years and…
  • I had the same success, and I've just gotten my husband to finally quit using vaping as a substitute about 10 weeks ago. He's been smoking for 20+ years and this is the only way that he's been able to quit. Even Chantix didn't work for him, so I'm a huge supporter of e-cigarettes as a cessation product. I've been using…
  • I quit finally smoking for good about two years ago, and although it may not be a well-received method, it worked for me...I used e-cigarettes. So far it's the only thing that's helped, and it was nearly immediate. Once I found my holy grail liquids, I couldn't go back to tobacco. One night about 2 months after I started…
  • From what I can recall of my work for an OBGYN many moons ago, I believe you only need an additional 200 - 400 calories per day over your maintenance. The whole "eating for two" adage was so severly blown out of proportion for so long, that our practice wound up implementing an in-house weight maintenance program for our…
  • To be honest, the food temptation is your issue, not his. It's unfair to expect him to punish or restrict himself in order to acquiesce to your inability to control yourself. Please do not mistake this for harshness, I do not mean for it to come across as such; I do understand your frustration, I have it all around me in…
  • Folks, it's a joke :D
  • You can bust your *kitten* for weeks and not see results on the scale, but the key is consistency...STICK WITH IT, it will happen. It sounds like you may be doing too much and restricting your calories to the point that you're mentally fatiguing yourself. Only consuming 1100 and running 10 miles would kill me, I can't…
  • Wow!! It looks like you lost more than 22 lbs., you look wonderful :)
  • I am impressed, you've really done some serious work on yourself in a year! You are what I believe the picture of strong and sexy is, you look FANTASTIC! This is what I need to see to motivate me to get to the next level. Recomp, here I come!
  • You're absolutely right, but I'd be willing to be that at some point in time it's crossed their minds. OP: There's nothing wrong or incorrect about feelings...they're just that, feelings. Recognize them for what they are, do your best to move past them, and learn what triggered them. We all have bad days, but we don't have…
  • I've never really asked for or received diet "advice", but the one thing that really resonated with me was the basic mathematics that proved one binge shouldn't end my weight loss journey. Once I saw in black and white that I would have to eat an ADDITIONAL 3,500 calories above maintenance in order to gain one, stupid…
  • I've noticed that if I have a lighter than usual dinner (500 cals or under), that I'm not nearly as energized at the gym the next morning.

  • Best of luck to you! This place offers a wealth of information, just watch out for the broscience and the nasty grams :)
  • It's a bit pricey, but I have a couple of friends who have had pretty good success using Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy cream. And yes, they were very old stretch marks (20+ years).
  • Planet Fitness $20 per month, 24 hour access, tanning, massage beds/chairs, and red light therapy machine. You're on your own there, since they have no fitness classes and the "trainers" are laughable, but it's cheap :)
  • She sounds like a real a-hole. I hope they pull her membership for being such a self-righteous turd.
  • - Severe and obviously forced southern accents (I'm from the south, I hear A LOT of this) - The sound of silverware scraped against a plate - The mushy, disgusting mouth sounds and smacking when others are eating - Drivers who switch their hazard lights on in the rain. It's both illegal and dangerous, just stop it
  • I am in your shoes as we speak! About 3 weeks ago, it started getting harder and harder to get up at 3:00 AM to get to the gym, and that was after doing it for 3 months so it wasn't exactly a new routine. It started becoming a job and a big, 'ol pain in the *kitten*, so I went with the slump...I stopped going to the gym.…
  • I struggle with preparing the foods that I eat as part of my lifestyle, while keeping the hubs fed with what he enjoys. Luckily, he takes care of himself much of the time, but I still feel guilty pangs once in a while. We've already been through the "we'll get healthy together!" attempts, he always drops off, so I leave…
  • The only time I drink soda is when I need something to mix with my whiskey, so it's ususally diet ginger ale or diet 7-Up. Other than that, I might have just a plain, old soda to drink maybe three times a year.
  • You did such a wonderful job, you look FANTASTIC!! And don't forget the bonus...you got to keep your boobs
  • Strange, but true. I've also found hard boiled eggs to be much more filling. I can only handle two hard boiled eggs at a time, but I can scamble up 6 w/salsa and veggies and still be hungry.
  • Scottish & Armenian...very pretty :)
  • No worries. We all have facepalm moments :)
  • The weight of the jar is irrelevant. You would subtract the number on the scale after removing your peanut butter from the beginning total weight (jar and contents). The difference between the two is how much peanut butter is removed. Say your jar of peanut butter weighs 500 grams. You want 20 grams of peanut butter, so…
