  • What I find with studying is that I sleep less when i'm studying, so i'm awake longer in the day. This makes me think I should be allowed more calories because sitting at my desk studying must burn more calories than sleeping! MFP should have a place to put in how much you sleep.
  • Its not about size, its about proportions, If you have DDs and you're overweight, they don't look great anyway. You would look better with Bs and a little skinny waist! I'd happily trade in all my tummy fat for Bs!
  • Thanks so much for suggesting this site!! I am about to go to Whole Foods and I like to plan out a few meals I'm going to cook during the next week. This was great timing. I'm going to make the Prosciutto and Arugula Sandwich, Sesame Crusted Tuna Steak, and Mushroom Risotto this week. YUM-EEE!!!!
  • I have done a couple P90X workouts, I am not following the meal plan and not doing the workouts in order, every day. But I log the calories burned using a HRM because they aren't in the exercise database. I think we need to make a post on the suggestion page that they add all the popular exercise routines such as P90X,…
  • I like how at the end of the article it says that the students were more interested in the mouse's robust gonads. Haha!!
  • There has always been scientific research to support the fact that exercise makes you feel younger, keeps you living longer, and even improves cognitive function (brain stuff). Exercise is just plain good
  • I was just thinking I wish I had taken some before pics when I first started. I have already lost 8 lbs, out of 17 I want to loose. Maybe its not too late.
  • It really does get easier, you're body is probably just used to having all those extra calories. If it's really horrible and you cant take it, maybe up your calorie intake for now and lower it by 50 every day until you get to where you want to be. This way your body has more time to adjust to the change.
  • My friend (a dude) was messing around with a woman in an open marriage. The woman and her husband recently got divorced, not sure how long they were married, but you can see how that worked out. She is now living my friend. He made it clear he isn't into that open relationship crap
  • I've been keeping track of my current and projected weights in an excel sheet. Yes I am a little crazy. On average I am 9.05lbs over my "if every day were like today" but I don't do every day the same. Sometimes I go way over. I have had projected weights for the whole month of February, and as I said, they're low by about…
  • The problem with going grocery shopping for 3 weeks worth of food, is that theres no way you're fresh veggies will last that long. You can get all your stuff except veggies for 3 weeks and then go once a week and just go to the veggie section. Thats what I like to do.
  • I got a Polar FT40, and i love it Be sure to get one with a chest strap
  • I'm the same! I hate working out, but i have all these new techy fun devices that it's actually fun because I get to use them and see how they work (I'm currently in college to be an engineer and I love technology and figuring out how it works)
  • Totally justified
  • I just got the Polar FT40 and I love it. It comes with a chest strap and it shows your heart rate on the watch as you're working out in big numbers and easy to read. It also shows the heart rate at the low end of your target, basically the heart rate you should stay over to be exercising. Its pretty cool!

  • I am currently doing a project on HRM for school (I am a biomedical engineering major). We are looking into their accuracy. We have found that a chest strap is more accurate than just a wrist watch one. I suggest getting one with a chest strap. They are pretty comfortable and fit right below the bra. I was also reading…
  • I also have a sweet tooth, but I've weaned myself off sweets. The other day I had a piece of chocolate (for valentines day) and I thought I was going to die it was soooo sweet I could barely stand it. Even light vanilla yogurt is too sweet for me now, i mix it half and half with plain yogurt. My point is, after the initial…
  • I'm pretty sure he wants to gain a healthy 20 lbs, haha! I suggest eating a lot of healthy foods and working out. You should probably stay away from cardio workouts because they are designed to make you loose weight and stick to weight training. Muscle weighs more than fat, so putting on muscle weight would be good for you.
  • The "light" when talking about olive oil usually only has to do with the color or flavor, not the calorie or fat content. Those darned advertising people trying to trick us!!
  • This link should be helpful, it compares different oils and their fat content (remember that saturated and trans fats are the bad ones and mono and polyunsaturated fats are the good ones) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_oil#Culinary_use Although Vegetable oil (Canola Oil) is the lowest in overall fats, a large chunk is…
  • I just made a post almost exactly the same as this about half an hour ago. I find myself coming in under my calorie goal. This is my post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/160414-under-calorie-goal A good suggestion I got was drinking a glass of milk to fill the calories, if you're around 100 needed. Or have a small…
  • Something that seems to help a lot is plan how many calories you're going to eat before dinner. Its a lot easier when you know you exactly how much of what you can eat. I try to fill my plate with my alloted amount of calories and then immediately put the leftovers away or at least not on the dinner table so I'm not…
  • I haven't tried this yet, but it looks great!! http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/greek_tofu_salad.html I'm planning on making it for lunch tomorrow
