  • Well done! I'm going to do my Day 3 on Thurs as well and looking forward to it :)
  • I just did day 2 of week 1 and it was much easier. My HR wasn't as high and I was able to run faster. Good to see I'm making some progress already. I'm sticking to doing it 3 x a week and having a light gym day or light weights on days in between depending on how I feel. Don't want to overdo it and burn out. Yesterday I…
  • The Firm's Total Body Toner is purely weights and no cardio. It gives good results too. Most of the other Firm dvds alternate weights and cardio if you still would like to have some cardio in there
  • Good on you for doing i even if you missed some of the jogging. At the end of the day we all have to start somewhere don't we?? I'm hoping the same re: weightloss and toning. Running is such a good stress buster too :)
  • Oh, and thanks for all the replies :) I've added everyone so it will be nice to do it together. I am pretty achy after day 1 but in a good way. Thighs, calves, glutes and abdominals all feel like they've worked but not enough to stop me from going to the gym this morning and doing a Body Pump class
  • I went on the NHS choices website and there was a podcast there. I had a listen before heading out and I didn't like the music so I just Googled "Couch to 5k" and found a website that set each week out in black and white and pretty much had same info as NHS Choices site but in written form rather than a Podcast which…
  • I have never done a 5k event before even tho in the past I used to run 5k all the time for fun. A friend of mine recently was diagnosed with breast cancer and said she would like friends to enter a 5k event and raise money so maybe I will be able to run 5k again by that time :)
  • Good on you. I fell off the wagon Oct - Dec but decided a day before my birthday that there is no point in waiting til New Year when I can start now. I left myself indulge on xmas and boxing day but now I'm back too it and hoping for a loss or at least to maintain when I weigh tomoro. I like your attitude and positivity so…
  • I'm 5'8 and curently weigh around 168 lbs but I'd like to get back to around 147 lbs to be comfortable but the elusive 140 lbs would be lovely. I've only just got back into this in the past few weeks so if anyone wants to add me feel free :)
  • I have upped my cals and dropped exercise as you know but have had a bad 2 wks due to a cold. I'm actually considering eating more now though. Those 2 wks before getting a cold I lost 5 lbs. Just over I think and I was starting to struggle a little. I'm tempted to put all my food in to tot up the cals but I'm not sure I…
  • Why not save the alcohol for 1 night a week and treat yourself to the starbucks once a week? You've said the alcohol leads you to make bad food choices anyway so that's like a double whammy. If your weight loss has stalled the alcohol might be a sacrifice you'll have to make. I'm not saying giving up completely, just cut…
  • Yes i pretty much eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch every day and keep my snacks the same too. My evening meals aren't that varied either....I know what I like and what will fill me up and that's good enough for me. When I get bored I swap items around slightly but essentially stick to the same formula: Breakfast…
  • I just record what i eat in the notes section here, i don't actually log the food i've eaten and work out the calories. I've been doing it like this for over 2 months now and have successfully been losing weight. I've lost well over a stone since taking a break. All I do is log my exercise and even that is an estimate of…
  • I'm 5'8 and currently 153/154 lbs. I'm aiming for 140 lbs and have been for a long time but it all seems to go pear-shaped once I get to about 145lbs. So I think I'll work towards 147 lbs and then just try to maintain and continue to up my weights. Feel free to add me if you want some motivation
  • I also over-exercise but since June have changed my ways both with the gym and eating habits. Exercise wise i now make sure i rest one day a week minimum. And on my gym days i now limit my cardio and include free weights & rsistance machines at the gym so it's 50/50 or quite often these days it is more biased towards the…
  • I am currently in one and no there is no problem with it. I am black and my boyfriend is white. We have never had any problem from anyone here in the UK however when we have been on holiday in USA we have had problems from other people who obviously didn't agree with it. Since it was their problem rather than ours though…
  • I started a lifestyle change 3 yrs ago and to be honest although verbally my partner was supportive, he would really drag me down at home still insisting on eating take aways in front of me and filling the cupboards with sweets and choc! However, in Jan this yr he gave up smoking, starting eating junk morning noon and…
  • Hi I am from Coventry but I now live in Cumbria. I still come back regularly though so I'll add you :)
  • Thanks for the add ladies :) yes i've been up and down up and down. It's very annoying but i seem to be losing the weight in a more controlled fashion lately so i hope i can keep it going!
  • Height: 5'8 SW: 14st 12 lbs (Oct 2009) CW: 11st 2 lbs GW: 10st I've got down to 10st 3lbs in June 2010 and ever since then I have yoyo'd up and down, I'll get there eventually
  • Wow!! is all I can say, you look amazing :) x
  • Haven't read the whole thing but I really hate "dis" and "dat" it grates on me so bad!! It's "this" and "that." Another thing is people who pronounce "three" as "free" and "the" as "vuh" if that makes sense? Makes me wanna scream haha
  • I just added you. Anyone else can add me as well if they want. I'm 30 and based in the UK. Got about 1 st to lose x
  • Excuse my french here but today i'll stay on track cos i won't let one particular b****** in this world get me down. Gonna stick to my plan, reach my goals and we will see who has the last laugh. Thanks for this thread.....I feel so better already for getting that out
  • Feel free to add me people looking for UK based buddies. I don't add up my cals but i do log what i eat in the "Notes" section
  • I'm in the UK too and try to log in each day although I have my ups and downs like everybody else. If anyone wants to add me, have a look at my profile and feel free to add me. I'll add OP too x
  • Sorry hunni but if you want honest opinions I have to say that unfortunately I don't think this dress is the one for you :-( You have a lovely figure but the colour and style of the dress just isn't right and like others have said the shoes don't quite go with it. I just think the length at the back is a little bit TOO…
  • Lately i have been telling myself that even if i do eat the binge/comfort food i've been craving i will still feel s*** about what's getting me down. Seems to be working since I faced up to that fact x
  • Feel free to add me people cos I'm also looking for more support. It's been hard lately but I'm getting myself back in order. Have a read of my profile and add me if you think we can help each other out :-)
  • My goal is to be 11 stone or less, go cycling once a wk and do weights/toning 3 x per week on top of my usual cardio. Hopefully that'll do the trick. I'm off uni for 5 wks as off next wkend so will have plenty of time on my hands to devote to it
