I lost almost 2 stone 2 years ago and gained it back, lost it, gained it... You know the story. Now decided I can't do this without support, the initial 2 stone was kick started with MFP help. I'm in :) I should say I definitely need to lose more than 2 stone though.

Starting weight for me is fluctuating between 199 / 200 lbs the past few days. Let's go with 200 lbs :D We can do it!

I've been on MFP for 2 weeks at 1200 calories and only discovered the BMR / TDEE 2 days ago on here. Yesterday was my first day eating more towards 2000 cals a day and I had to force myself to get to 1600 cals by the end of the day! (and I'd exercised yesterday too). Struggling to get to the 2000 mark today too, I'd…

I know how you feel, I felt completely fine on 1200 cals a day and then came on here with everyone saying we should eat closer to 2000+ cals and my body can't hold all the food! I had 1600 cals yesterday and I felt like I'd burst open! Today I've just forgotten to eat, had about 600 cals worth of food and exercised for 40…

I've had the pill, the injection and the implant and would put my weight gain up to a mixture of the being on the bill and eating too much / not exercising. Continued onto the injection which for some reason stopped any attempt at losing weight. Nurse took me off the injection for that reason and the implant at the moment…

Yeah, I measure myself weekly as well as the using scales. I only recent bought the scales just as an extra measurement, trying to not become obsessed with weighing myself! Thanks :)
-
I have plenty of fat left to lose :P Thanks for the reply :)

So we will still be getting 'smaller' as in toned but the scales won't show the work? I bought scales just as a concrete measurement, I'm much more concerned with how I look in the mirror (which might make me sound a bit vain but hey!) :D

And just one more little question (:P), should I log my exercise in the diary? Or leave it out as I've included it in my "very active" selection? Also, even if I'm not losing weight, I'll still be getting smaller and more toned with the amount of exercise and weight lifting I do right? I've used a lot of my brain on…

Aaaaand the light bulb above my head flickers on. I get it now after just under and hour of calculations and reading and re-reading. Phew!
-
Thanks! I'll have a read of it now :) It seems silly that the calculator suggests 1200 cals a day if it's not healthy! Thanks for the encouragement :)
-
Thank you so much :) I've adjusted my counter as suggested (to very active 1lb loss a week) and will see what happens :) I've never actually 'dieted' before so I'd rather get it right the first time and not yo yo over the years to come. (Recap: I eat 2000 a day and do my exercise as normal to get to my BMR of 1600 and that…

Late joiner (:P) but I'm in :) CW 200lb! Looking forward to the challenge and motivation ^_^

I'm in too! :D My first challenge ^_^

Hey there :) I'm a newbie on the site too! I'll be more than glad to be around to chat to if you need a talk with someone trying to lose weight too! I've been using the app for 2 weeks and decided that it'd be better for me to talk to like minded people about weight loss rather than bore all my friends and partner with it…

Please don't think I'm being silly, I was just going from what the MFP counter was telling me to eat. I assumed because it said 1200 calories a day was enough and that I'm feeling fine eating that much that it was ok?! I'll up my calories now rather than later if it's going to mess up my metabolism, thanks for the reply :)

My BMR is 1641, so I should eat that rather than the 1200? I'm so new to this whole thing -_- Thanks for the reply!

I'm new (:D) and reading this discussion has majorly confused me!! I started on MFP about 2 weeks ago (privately on my ipod) and was given the 1200 calorie each day and I don't eat my exercise calories back. I zumba roughly 5 times a week and do strength training with weights to keep my muscle. Should I eat more? I've been…
