NP here, welcome! Feel free to friend me. You will love this site.

The best amount of exercise for your health is 60 minutes most days of the week. I get up early and work out before I go to work at my office job. I find that I am too busy in the evenings with supper and kids to do it then. You just need to find what works for you that you can stick to.

You are doing something right by exercising and logging your food. Eating healthy quantities takes time to learn and it is a lifestyle. As you take one step at a time you will see that you can do it. None of us gained our weight in a week and we can't lose it that fast either. Keep ticking along and we will all be there to…

Stay above 1200 or you will save all your calories to prevent starvation. Add exercise to give you more deficit.

You can try combining them to add to the challenge. They are really only 20 minutes long so a person can do two.

I found that every ten-15 pounds seemed to mean a new size. I got more comments wearing clothes that fit than if I continued to wear the baggy clothes.

P90X isn't the best for weight loss. Not enough cardio. We did a round of it and it burns far less calories than our usual cardio workouts and we had to really adjust our diets to lose anything. We are planning to give it a go again when we reach our weight loss goals. It is quite intense.

It's more a matter of what works with your life. The best time to exercise is the time you will stick with. I do morning because I can do it nearly every day without other things getting in the way.

Up a pound this week:( 155. Better try harder next week.

Great milestone, those are the ones that keep you in the game:)

Third weekend in February.

If there is it really works. If not and you are still having trouble I will bring my needles. I am pretty sure we are going to come out.

Strengthen your back and core with exercise and try acupuncture for the pain. Anti-inflammatories will help with the pain too but careful, the are very hard on your stomach and can cause their own set of problems. Does anyone in Golden do acupuncture? We are probably coming out at Family Day, I could help you then but that…

I add exercise so that I have more calories.

You say you started counting calories at the start of this year, 2011? If so that is only 17 days. Even though you gained it quickly you probably won't lose it quickly. It takes time, if you do it right. Work out, count your calories and give it time, it will come.

The inhaler is increasing your heart rate, a side effect of the medication. Your heart rate will come down as you become more conditioned. The HRM bases calories on your weight and heart rate so it might be right if you are really ticking along.

154! Down another pound:)

I would try acupuncture. Surgery is a big step.

My moment came in May 09 when my mom, sister and I all weighed in on my wii fit and I weighed exactly the same as my mom! My mom has been fat for thirty years and although she is 4 inches shorter than me it really opened my eyes to weigh the same. Thirty three pounds later I feel more my usual self. i always said I…

Maybe make your diary public and others will give you advice.

Don't worry too much about the number, we are all different and the water and change in eating habits vary from person to person. I have never lost 3-4 pounds in one week in my life. I am a steady Eddie, lol. There are weeks that I don't lose at all and then I will lose two a week for a while. Our bodies are very adaptable…

Good luck to you both! This is a great site to help you with many supportive people. Stick to it and be honest and it will help you meet your goals.

Being on antibiotics isn't in itself a reason not to workout. If you feel good enough then carry on.

Any of the Biggest Loser videos is good. Same type of intensity but more variety.
-
I agree and try and eat less, healthier regular food.

It's good. Hard work but that is what you want. Do what you can and build up to doing the whole thing at each level and then moving up to the next level. Good luck, I like Jillian Michaels.

Acupuncture works great for sciatic pain. Work through the pain, it gets worse with inactivity. Stretching is very helpful for sciatic pain too.
