I'm in the same situation. Just got back on the horse after 14 months! Charging my old fitbit as we speak!

Wow thanks everyone. I'm going to adjust this.

A motivational downer for me that isn't scale related is the way people talk to each other before a class sometimes. Last Wednesday I thought I'd take a step class for the first time. (like first time in a class period) and before class there was this group of ladies at the right side of the class who were sitting there…

I was just scrolling down to post this and you beat me to it! For me when I have fallen off the horse I need to do the "Fake it till you make it" method. It sucks for a week or so and then becomes part of my routine and THEN I start to enjoy it a little.

You can never have too much support!

I only had 3 and had them all removed at the same time. They put me out for it because they were sorta trapped above my other teeth. (too many teeth, not enough jaw lol) For me the pain and swelling were minimal. I think I ate well cooked oatmeal (on the watery side) for breakfast and tomato soup for lunch. I can't…

I love my Fitbit Flex! I work a desk job and typically only make like 4000 steps per day. My doctor wants me to do 10000. So when I get home from work if I haven't gotten remotely close to my step goal, it motivates me to head to the gym to make it. It also tells me how long I was active that day. It's also fun to blow the…

1200 calories sounds a little low for the amount of exercise you seem to be doing. For me if I'm hungry, I eat because clearly my body is asking for energy/nutrition. I just make sure it's a healthy choice. Also for myself I lose weight from my chest and butt first, then the stomach follows so don't fret. The tummy will…

Definitely look for protein and fiber. Also healthy fats. I find healthy fats (in moderation of course) help me feel satisfied longer. Also look at the quality of calories you're eating. If they're empty with no nutritional value, you're continuing to be hungry because your body isn't getting the nutrients it wants.

Welcome! I would definitely go with 'aerobics' but gauge how accurate the calorie burn is based on what my elliptical days say. Like if I push myself harder on the elliptical than I do with the video, but MFP says more calories for the video, I'd adjust it or manually enter calories. I try to not eat all my calories anyway…

Diet pills did nothing but give me a giant headache. I agree with what others have written - change your settings to 2 pounds per week and I would do 2 30min workouts a day if possible. I find if I do 2 30min sessions instead of one hour it doesn't feel so boring to me. Good luck and congrats on the wedding!

My husband is the same way! It's so hard when he keeps trying to cook dinner for us and he gets frustrated so easily when I don't want the meat.

I was vegetarian for a long time and have just come back to it. It just works so much better for me!

Me too! Virtual high fives are the best!

That's great! Not the nearly losing your suit part but the part about it not fitting.

I'm in the same boat. I've tried pretty much everything, including stuff like Weight Watchers but could never stick with any of it. I've decided for now a 'mini goal' is to eat a salad of some sort before every meal. It puts in better quality calories and keeps me from having enough room for that extra helping or slice or…

Hello! I have done it in the past and continue to use it off and on. It's quite intense so don't forget that food is fuel!
