  • I'd love more friends. I lost 90 pounds, then was inactive (on here and in life), went through big life changes along with depression and have now gained back most of my weight. Now I'm back and recharged but most of my old friends on here are inactive so I need some new, motivated friends!
  • I think the smoking is worse, especially long term. Binge eating is obviously bad, but you can work it off. I also think one trip to McDonald's won't really put you back into an unhealthy lifestyle as easily as a cigarette will make you want to start smoking again. Good job not buying a pack though. Either way, don't beat…
  • Yep, I can't eat fast food, it makes me so queasy! Actually lots of restaurant food in general doesn't really agree with me. I don't know what it is that some generic restaurants to when they cook their food but it's just not something that I can digest very well. I tend to get salads when we do go out places.
  • I will add you, I'm a mommy to 4 kiddos :)
  • I eat the JIF all natural crunchy
  • It depends on what it is. I can easily put certain things (like chips) in a small bowl and be satisfied with eating just that amount. Other things (chocolate, for example) I can't even have in the house, because I WILL eat it, and not in moderation either. I don't think there's really a general rule for this, I think it…
  • This is a really good one from skinnytaste.com: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/10/crock-pot-asian-pork-with-mushrooms.html
  • One of the sides I make a lot is chopped up zucchini, bell pepper (I use yellow, but you can use any that you like), onion and asparagus, saute with a little olive oil and soy sauce. This is great on it's own as a side or served over brown rice as a more filling side, or with any kind of chopped up meat as a main dish.
  • Turkey Chili Mac is one my family loves: 1 lb ground turkey 8 oz elbow macaroni 1/2 C salsa 1 medium onion 1 can pinto beans 1 can fiesta corn Shredded Cheddar Cheese Taco Seasoning to taste (depending on how spicy your family likes it, I use about a TBSP) -Cook turkey and onion in a large skillet until turkey is browned.…
  • WOW!!! That is all I can even say. I am 238 right now (started at 250), I get so overwhelmed sometimes, but seeing stories like yours just bring me right back up and I know I CAN do this!! I hope to join you in ONE-derland soon! Awesome, job, congrats!
  • I'm 5'5" my current goal is 150, after that I'll see how I look and feel, but ultimately, I'd love to get down to about 130.
  • Very true! I had someone (a stranger) sarcastically tell me the other day when I was eating lunch at the park with my kids "maybe eat less and exercise more". I was mortified and very angry. People have no consideration.
  • Congrats on your weight loss! I really hate hearing things like this, honestly, I think it's jealousy. Unless you're starving yourself to lose weight (which you obviously aren't), then they have no right to say anything like that to you. Definitely rude! Other than the obvious visual proof, the fact that you no longer need…
  • Me too! After 4 kids and a lot of weight gained, they're suprisingly perky. I told my husband if I lose my boobs when I lose a bunch of weight, I'm gaining it all back. LOL! They've always been decent, so hopefully that won't happen.
  • Maybe instead of doing a study on sugar (which is natural), maybe they should do a study on all the artificial crap they put in food these days. Yes, keep sugar to a minimum, I think we all know that. But what about all the manmade sugar substitutes, preservatives and artificial flavorings that are in food. I'm much more…
  • I set my goal for 98 so I wouldn't get overwhelmed, but in all reality, I should lose closer to 120 when it's all said and done. It's tough. Try setting mini goals for yourself so you don't get discouraged. Feel free to add me as a friend too :)
  • I have always had huge calves. I don't know the measurement, but they're huge and it's all muscle. Even being overweight, my calves are just muscle. I have no idea how to make them smaller and I hate it!! I've never found boots that fit around my calves :(
  • You look absolutely fabulous and he is adorable! Congrats!
  • I'm so happy I saw your post! I'm a little heavier than your before picture and sometimes that much weight seems so out of reach. It's definitely inspiring to see people who have done it. thank you and congrats, you look amazing!
  • He's right, it does, you look great!!
  • HOLY WOW!!! I would live in that bikini if I looked like that!! Congrats! I needed some inspiration today, so glad I ran across your post. Thank you!
  • Hi, my name is Corrie, I live in Fort Collins. I'm a SAHM mom to 4 kids :)
  • I just started a Wii game called My Fitness Coach, today is day 2. So far I like it. It completely makes a fitness plan around your body and needs, since I don't have the time or money to go to a gym or a personal trainer, it seems perfect. And it's gradual. I want to do 30DS, but I need to work up to it b/c I am so out of…
  • I think it depends on how active you are, how much you weigh, etc... Walking seems to do quite a bit for me because I'm pretty out of shape. I walk at a brisk pace whenever possible (if my kids are walking with me that's harder) and for at least 20 minutes, any less doesn't seem to get my heart rate up at all.
  • I've always been the same way. I cut soda from my diet about a year ago, but I can't give up my coffee. I can't stand black coffee and I used to use 2 tbsp of creamer and a tbsp or more of sugar in my coffee. I gradually cut down little by little till I got used to it being less doctored. I also get flavored coffee, that…
  • What are some of your favorites? I switched bagel thins for bagels, wheat tortillas instead of regular, egg whites instead of eggs, ground turkey instead of ground beef works in almost any recipe.. mmm, trying to think of some stuff.
  • I'm the same with water, I drink iced tea instead. I use all natural teas, there's basically nothing in it except some vitamins, so nutritionally it's the same as water. I know you said you don't drink tea, but maybe try some flavored teas and drink them iced. My husband and I completely stopped drinking soda a little over…
  • Honestly, I don't resist. I found that I get too frustrated and that's when I don't stick to my diet anymore because when I do give in I tend to overdo it. Of course I cut back and changed my snacks to very healthy snacks instead of junk type food. Also, I have my snacks out in a bowl on the kitchen counter and another…
  • WOW!! You look absolutely amazing and also a good 10 years younger. Great job! I have 98 pounds to lose, so seeing pictures and stories like this is such a huge motivation. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your big loss!!
