I don't eat meat except for fish. I'll get tilapia, trout or salmon if they're at a good price but I usually stick with canned tuna. I'll definitely check out lentils Dahl sounds rally good.

That sounds awesome. I love chickpeas.

Definitely go check it out. I don't have arthritis myself but with my mom she tried everything including cutting out gluten. After she got the tests done she found out it was dairy, beef and pineapple. It's going to be different for everyone so definitely go in and see a doctor.

You should get an allergy prick test from a doctor. My mom had arthritis and one of the major things that helped her was figuring out exactly what it was that she was allergic to. It's different for everyone and that test will be able to tell you what you specifically are sensitive to. Regular doctors are a little…

Unfortunately I'm moving out of state in about a month so growing anything myself is out. I do really really like rice and beans, same with stir fries. I just need to learn how to cook rice lol I have this crazy mental block with it where no matter how hard I try it always ends up crunchy or overcooked lol. I'll work on…

If you like eggs then they're a great protein source for lunches. Not just hardboiled but there are 100 different ways to have them for lunch. I like them in egg salad, it's a little weird but I grew up on a scrambled egg salad sandwiches that have plain yogurt and paprika. Also deviled eggs but with avocado instead of…

I second this there's a Sprouts in Ft Collins that I go to and I know there's one in Boulder and a few in the Denver area. They have some sick deals I've been able to walk out of there with enough veggies for over a week spending about $15. I don't shop at walmart though other than like their crackers and stuff I don't…

Tortellini (113g cooked) with spinach (1 1/2 cups), summer squash (half of a small one) marinara (1/2 cup) and 2% cottage cheese (1/2 cup), small serving of tortellini and it was 388 calories total.
-
Do you buy the tortellini premade or make your own? That's one thing I wouldn't mind making and freezing since raviolli made with wonton wrappers is so easy.

tuna with brown mustard (~100) or spinach with a 1 teaspoon of sesame oil + soy sauce + siriacha for dressing (~70)

This is counter intuitive but do you live near a Sunflower Market? (I think they're just a west coast thing) They're kinda like whole foods. I love going there because if you eat in season produce they have insane deals. I'll spend $20-$30 on produce that at a regular grocery store would have cost double the amount. But…

I hate cows milk and always have so I grew up with soy milk, it's good in cereal and coffee but I wouldn't drink it otherwise. Then I found almond milk and a coconut almond milk blend. So insanely good and the full sugar varieties have the same calories as a same size glass of skim milk. Those are like milk shakes I like…

It's not about calories if I'm drinking I'm getting trashed which usually ends in drunk munchies. I just think rum tastes better with diet same for Jim Beam with regular coke it's way too sweet for me.

I'm a basketball player too and I've always been someone who builds bulky muscles fast, especially in my legs. So besides the obvious advice about losing weight I wouldn't worry too much about it. Muscular legs look good and if you have defined calves it makes your ankles seem smaller in comparison which gives the illusion…

Nike tank-top with a built in bra (I prefer these because I have a small chest and sports bras make my back sore) Old beat up t-shirt or an old camisole Basketball shorts Then I have a water bottle that has a strap so it's easy to carry while I run. It's also got a pocket for my keys.

Alcohol and drunk munchies.
