  • You are doing such a great job! Let me tell you a quick tale of two pregnancies: 1) With my first, I was a very fit 127lbs before getting pregnant. Once I found out, I started "eating for two" and stopped exercising and swiftly gained 62 lbs. I went on to have 2 more children over the next 2 years and ended up at 192lbs…
  • Welcome! MFP is the best--it helped me lose 68 lbs after having my 3rd baby in 2.5 years. I work full time (and often travel) and am happily married. I started the journey late in 2011 and, through logging, healthier food choices and consistent exercise, shed the weight. My husband joined me and lost 35 lbs as well. Feel…
  • Welcome back and congratulations on starting the journey again. Feel free to add me, if you'd like. I love to motivate and always appreciate friends who do the same.
  • How fun :) 1. What is your eye color? Blue 2. What is youre favorite season? Summer 3. What is your favorite Holiday? Memorial Day (unofficial start of summer) 4. Have you ever been arrested? No 5. What are 2 things with in arms reach of you right now? Nalgene water bottle, computer keyboard (at work) 6. Would you rather…
  • Feel free to add me. I'm Shirin (33)...full time working mom to 3 (3, 2 and 1). If you are looking for daily motivation (and are willing to offer the same), please add me.
  • I strongly suggest the Cooking Light cookbook series (especially The Essential Dinner Tonight)....lots of low calorie meal options that are easy to prepare and absolutely delicious!
  • Feel free to add me, if you'd like. I log everyday and have a diary open to friends. I love to motivate, if you're willing to do the same :)
  • I am in the middle of the second month of my CLX/Insanity hybrid (finished the first round of Insanity in August). I love Chalean--feel free to add me. I love to motivate :)
  • Hi there, I have another 7 lbs to lose to get to my ultimate goal of 125lbs. After losing 60 lbs (from my highest at 192lbs the day I delivered my third child 1 year ago), the last few have been really tough. All the advice you have gotten is great. For me, I just try to cook as much as possible (Cooking Light has amazing…
  • Heaviest--192 lbs (day I delivered my 3rd child in 2.5 years) Lightest--112 lbs (I was way too skinny, this was at age 22) Current--132 lbs (original goal) Goal--125 lbs (a weight that I maintained for years before having kids) 5'4.5"
  • As often as possible!!!!
  • I've done Insanity and am midway through a Chalean Extreme/Insanity hybrid right now (month 2). It depends on what you're looking to do--CLX (Chalean) is more strength based/lifting while Insanity is cardio/HIIT (high intensity interval training) and body resistance. They are both outstanding programs but Insanity is more…
  • In the first two weeks, I gained 2 lbs of water weight. Once I completed it, I was down 16 lbs (purely from Insanity and MFP). For reference, I started Insanity at 157 and ended at 141. The second month really showed the largest weight loss. Stick with it!
  • I am 5.4-5.5" (when I stand up tall :)) and my goal weight is 127lbs (currently 136 lbs). Like you, I am very petite (small boned) so high 120s is best for me. As a side note, I started at 192lbs 11 months ago (the day I delivered my 3rd child).
  • Hi there, Feel free to add me. I am a full time working mom of 3 (ages 3, 2 and 11 months) so I understand the challenges of making time for you. I hope we can motivate each other.
  • That sounds really high. Can you calibrate your HRM by doing another work out where you have a good sense of the burn (i.e. treadmill/elliptical)? This way you can triangulate how accurate the HRM is
  • Insanity, Crunch Ellen Barrett DVDs (mainly pilates/yoga), Chalean Extreme (terrific for lifting!)
  • Oops, forgot to add comment. Tanya is definitely the worst part of month 1...just wait until Anna in month 2 <gag>
  • Hi! Feel free to add me--I finished Insanity about 3 weeks ago and am now doing a Chalean Extreme/Insanity hybrid. Good luck, it's a wonderful journey :) I did Insanity after having my 3rd child (at 7 months PP and after doing C25K and 30 DS) and had terrific results: down 17 lbs, many inches. After 3 weeks with CLX added,…
  • I am a Sales Director at a Fortune 50 consumer packaged goods company and a married mother to 3 kids 3 and under and 2 tiny toy poodles :)
  • Least: Celery (gross!) Most: Artichokes and okra (tie), though I'm really loving kale right now :)
  • Hi there, I am nursing my almost 11 month daughter (down to 2-3x/day) and am trying to lose the last 9 pounds (from my first child 3.5 years ago). On the day I delivered last September, I was 192 lbs and got down to pre-pregnancy 160 around March. At that point, I started MFP and dedicated exercising and am now 136. From a…
  • Thank you for posting this...I have always loved okra! We prepare it on the skillet with olive oil, thyme and lemon juice--perfect!
  • I deal with the same issue every day (full time working mom of 3 3 and under). We work out around 9pm each night and eat afterwards (the kids get to sleep around 8-830pm and then we prepare the meal). It's hard but doable--try not to have a very heavy dinner and it is manageable. Good luck!
  • Hi there, I'm a mom of 3: 3, 2 and 10 months. I work full time plus travel and try to exercise 5-6 days a week. Since having my daughter 10 months ago, I've lost 53 lbs and have 12 more to go. Feel free to add me...I love to provide encouragement :)
  • Hi everyone, I'm Shirin and am from Chappaqua, NY (in Northern Westchester), originally Long Island. Right now, I am doing a Chalean Extreme/Insanity hybrid to lose the last 12 lbs of baby weight (currently at 139, looking to get to 127 lbs).
  • Hi Kayla, I am 5' 4.5" and my goal is 125-130 lbs. I started at 192 lbs (9 months pregnant with my 3rd child 10 months ago) and am now 139. Just do what looks/feels right for your body. 130 lbs sounds like a good goal. Good luck! Feel free to add me
  • I completely understand what you're saying. I had 3 kids in 2.5 years and became pregnant when I was at my fittest (127 lbs, training for a half marathon, working out 2 hours a day). I put on 62 lbs with the first pregnancy, lost 30 in the 6 months post partum. I got pregnant again and gained 35 (32 of those pounds came…
  • Feel free to add me: I had 3 kids under 2.5. My youngest is almost 10 months and I have 14 or so pounds to my original (prior to baby #1) weight. 51 lbs down :)
