I have had it a long time also. As mumof5 stated, it might be harder to lose but there are hundred of reasons and there will be set backs, but it can be done. Life does get in the way. Last year I went to the doctor and she said putting on 10 pounds at my age was not unexpected. However, when I went back for my annual exam…

You don't have to give up everything you love - just limit it. What about a half of a banana in your smoothie? If you don't want meat at lunch, how about tofu. I would recommend the American Diabetes website. My mom was a diabetic. I found great information there and other websites to use when she stayed with me. I am…

I have had two foot surgeries and then broke 4th metarsal bone all in my right foot. One of the surgeries required me to be on crutches with no weight bearing for 16 weeks. Use the bike for cardio. It takes a little practice with the boot on but the last time I broke my foot, there were 4 of us in the gym with boots…

Great post. #2 and 3 are so important. Finding something you like to do helps you meet 2. It doesn't have to classified as exercise - gardening, dancing, walking your dog will get you moving. It is suppose to be less than 100 tomorrow. SO I am getting up early morning and go for a walk.
