This may be true for other systems, but it's certainly not the MFP system. This is how MFP dictates activity level: Sedentary: Spend most of the day sitting (e.g. bank teller, desk job) Lightly Active: Spend a good part of the day on your feet (e.g. teacher, salesman) Active: Spend a good part of the day doing some…

This isn't relevant to this thread. I already eat much over my BMR. As the OP states, I increased a further 100 calories over my BMR and started losing again.

Looking at your diary, it seems like you're consistently either a ton OVER under your calorie goal... and I can't make a definite statement without whipping out a calculator, but it seems like your indulgences are outweighing the extra deficits you're earning on days where you're coming in under goal... and then some. You…

I was a 1400 when I hit a 3-month plateau. Increased calories to 1500 at the beginning of this week and lost 3 lbs.
-
Started at 1200, realized that was stupid, went up to 1400. Now I've increased to 1500.

No worries! I did circuits given to me by my trainer. Some free weights, some weight machines. None of those pop programs, though. The circuit I'm doing right now is something like: -24 weighted walking lunges -15 chest presses -30 step-ups on the bench -15 seated rows at a machine -10 burpees -12 single-leg deadlifts with…

Actually, I'l amend my previous statement. When you build muscle your body begins to burn more calories, so, to a certain degree, we do exercise to lose more weight. HOWEVER, you must EAT the proper amount in order to develop new muscle and in turn rev up that metabolism. It might seem backwards because of the nonsense us…

It's water weight! And you need to be eating more. Exercise is not to lose extra weight, it's to improve your health and body composition. You should be eating back most if not all of your exercise calories.

Just going to post this here because people have been asking in messages: Measurements: Waist 26.5 on 12/04/12 Hips 36.5 on 02/05/13 Bust 33.0 on 11/05/12

I personally prefer to eat a bunch of small meals. I find my blood sugar drops way too quickly and I get lethargic and cranky if I don't eat something every 2-ish hours.
-
holy CRAP that is an unbelievable result!! good for you

Thanks guys! It took me about 2 years. First year I lost 25, and this year I've lost 18. I go to the gym 6 days a week: lifting + cardio 3 days a week and just cardio only the other three. For cardio, I usually walk 10 minutes to warm up, run 10-15 minutes, and then hop on the elliptical for 20 minutes.

1 tbsp dijon mustard, 2 tbsp lemon juice, a little pepper pour it over a chicken breast in a little roast pan and cover with some tinfoil, bake at 350 for 40 mins

you look like katie holmes in second pic!

Grilled chicken breast, wild/brown rice blend, baked zucchini.

FYI - my roommate, who eats "normal" junk food, says these taste great and, in fact, better than a handful of other brownies she's tasted! So there's your proof!
-
A serving is one brownie. You cut the final product into 16 equal brownies. When speaking of any recipe for baked goods, a serving is always one single unit. One cookie, one cupcake, one slice of pizza, one brownie.
-
Totally. As long as they're cooked before they enter the blender, all's well. Make sure you drain them, too.
-
Keep in mind, though, that I did once make a living off baking... so I'm not exactly an amateur. These are pretty guaranteeably great.
-
Personally, I thought they tasted great without the drizzle, but it's definitely necessary for anyone who needs their brownies to be very obviously SWEET. Before I switched to a healthier lifestyle, I'd add walnuts to my brownies to dull the sweetness, though, so my palate may not be the best gauge.
-
They don't taste of beans in the slightest. Just like cookies don't taste of eggs. They're absolutely delicious!
-
Here's what they look like with a drizzle of 2 tbsp chocolate chips melted with 1/2 tbsp canola oil: drizzle only takes them up to 107 cals
-
that's really not good for you. this is not an "each person is different" issue. your net calories need to be higher for your HEALTH and that is a fact. you might be losing quickly, but you're slowly doing damage to your organs and, in turn, your metabolism.

Thanks everyone! I actually think I'm leaning towards a fitness modeling program. I think that fits my needs more than Insanity (no matter how jealous I am of how great the participants look in such a short period of time).

THIS IS A GOOD QUESTION OMG someone answer plsplspls

Fat loss and strength gain It's between Insanity and fitness modeling training right now Looks like I'm leaning towards fitness modeling
