If u can afford it get a heart rate monitor that calculates calories. I used mine today when I was doing strength training and 10 mins of cardio and in the hour i burned 476 cals in 67 mins.

I started to get knee pain when i started lightly jogging a couple of years ago in a bid to shift the weight, trouble is i was too heavy to jog and didn't realise this at the time so I've damaged my knees a little. Well here's my update. Went to the gym, did 2 circuits of some different exercises, but using similar muscles, did some high intensity cardio only for 10 mins and actually the movement helped my aches. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. :happy: I think when i sit still i cease up and when i moving it's better.…

I weighed my self as soon as i got up and been to the toilet, then i weighed my self an hour later, hadn't eaten anything but weighed 2lbs heavier!!?? wierd or what. So perhaps it's best, if your gonna weigh each week to do as soon as u get up.

I have the odd whey protein shake, well i have it before my workout, should i have it after instead??

I just bought a new scale yesterday (my other one was 10 yrs old) and this new one weighs me 4lb lighter Woo Hoo! But my weight fluctuates like crazy :( so I've now changed my workouts to strength training for my whole body, squats, lunges push ups, bridges and planks etc using weights and when im finished doing those then…

I'm doing the same. Just started on some strength exercises on Friday. Bloody aching like no-ones business!! I did planks, squats using a powerbag, squat press ups holding a Vipr and front lunges holding a Vipr. I need to think of another one or 2 to add to my list, so I'll be keeping a watch on this thread.
