I'm 44 and right now @ 250. I have lost around 80 pounds in the last 6 to 9 months. (Around 40 since the first of the year). I am also a diabetic and really want to reduce meds I'm taking. I have made small changes at a time. Feel free to add me and I look forward to the advice shared also.

I definitely need to start using more egg whites. Sorry to sound crazy here but what do you mean by carton egg whites? I am actually lucky my FIL has chickens so I can get eggs from him.

Thank you so much! I am at around 1450 calories per MFP. I usually eat the biggest of my veggies at my night meal (and much lower carbs). I have been eating some Whole Wheat Bread. I feel the same way. One is a holistic nutritional advisor (no dairy). One was an Endroconolgy (Atkins). And the other was a nutritionist from a few years ago. My fasting blood sugar has been being under 130 usually a little under 120 each morning. I'm also trying to check before and after a heavier meal.

I take Gabapentin also (300mg). I tried Lyrica but it made me swell so much.

I asked my DR to refer me to nutritionist just yesterday. I meet with one 2 years ago. But honestly I didn't know the questions ( at that time) I needed to ask. I am going to try and be prepared this time. I do think logging my food here will help. What tools do y'all use?

My meter showed 141 and the Dr office showed 168. Same site (enough blood for both samples). This just blows my mind. I use the one touch ultra 2 and now have no idea if I should trust it.
