  • I agree, it's an awful thing that doesn't teach you anything, and no type of food should be eliminated without due cause.
  • Oh, I'm aware of this. It's why, as soon as I was getting the real help I needed (with my mental health) and researched nutrition I asked to be taken off them. I'm just pointing out that if anyone were to try them, it's very easy to avoid the awful oily mess.
  • My GP put me on the prescription version of this for a while. I never once had 'anal leakage'. Really, the only way you would expel mass amounts of oily liquid from your nether regions is if you don't do what you're meant to, and go over the fat limit for the day. It's not hard.
  • If I want something hot, I'll get a tall soy latte- Christmas time is either Toffee Nut or Gingerbread, otherwise it's skinny vanilla or caramel. If I want something cold, I'll order a tall Espresso frap and ask for a pump or two of skinny syrup. Or I chill out and fit it in to my day if I want something extra calorific,…
  • I'm a WoWer but I haven't played in months- couldn't afford the sub and now I have my job I just haven't got round to it yet. However now Vol'jin is going to be Warchief I think I'll have to resub... I also play Rift, SWOTR, and then PS3 games- I'm working my way through all the Trophies and Collectibles on Tomb Raider…
  • Half a can of black eye beans, a can of plum tomatoes with juice, all cooked up on the stove with seasoning, spices and freeze dried coriander, topped with a little grated cheese :)
  • Something that helped me before I started my Masters and therefore fell off the wagon (lol) was to not think of it as a 'cheat'- cheat implies that you are doing something bad, and the whole punish/reward mentality is REALLY something that doesn't help me. Instead, I thought (and will think of it again) as a 'relaxed' day.…
  • Generally, if I'm getting Chinese and I don't want to think 'what the hell', I'll order something like prawns that aren't battered or in a heavy, sticky sauce. Prawns with ginger and spring onion, for example, is a great one. If you're not a prawny person, a chicken or pork dish would be awesome.
  • I've not been using 'milks' for a while now, but I was a long time soy user until I tasted the alternatives. They're a bit more expensive over here, but I love, love, LOVE the taste of both oat and rice milk. They're more watery, though, so if I wanted to cook with milk or use something a bit thicker I'd choose nut milk.…
  • Just the Hulk. I feel like wussing out and getting some food, or skipping a work out, he stares me down.
  • I never knew people thought this was a bad idea... Huh. Learn something every day! OP- go for it. I have lots of clothes that are too small for me- either because they turned out to be too small for me when I got them home, or they were bought too small, or they used to fit. I figure I've got so much to lose overall I'm…
  • Anyone? (Self bump...)
  • This is wrong. As with everything, the consequences of 'too much' are bad. 'Too much' protein is seriously bad for your kidneys, as well as other things. Having said that, MFP horrifically underestimates your allotted protein, and it takes a lot to be 'too much', so go for it.
  • Cellar is actually the word I meant, I was writing about rooms in my essay. Not even kidding, my dad is a drayman for a brewery :)
  • Bloomin' love me some metal. Death, Folk, Black (yeah, even the symphonic 'sell outs') and Doom are my main loves. King Diamond at Bloodstock this year? AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! \m/
  • If anyone tried to chill my best bitter, I would go ape****. What y'all call beer ain't beer ;) Real beer's meant to be served at room temperature.
  • As the owner of a (probable) Staffy-Jack cross boy, and a gorgeous cuddle-monster full Staffy girl, I've been following this story and the ludicrous 'phone ins' with intent. From what I can gather, the dogs were hideously treated. They were left alone in the house and the girl went round to wait for her friend to return…
  • I really think you're being incredibly optimistic by hoping to find accommodation for 50 Canadian dollars per night (that works out to just over £32, if I'm not mistaken). London is a very expensive place to stay! Your options would be to stay just outside of London and see if you could afford a group travelcard for the…
  • I appreciate the reply. Thanks
  • Dinner tonight: Salmon is pan fried using cooking oil spray, with dill and lemon juice. Image not working in three... two... one...
  • Caucasian, definitely. My friend's mum would suddenly just lapse into her natural accent and it was like some pasty white woman had swallowed Bob Marley.
  • This thread has been enlightening. I'd honestly never heard of this 'one drop rule' thing before now. Maybe that's cos I'm from the UK and we don't have that over here or something. Hmm. We just have idiot skinheads and extremist Muslims fighting each other in marches in Luton. Also, I learnt when I was 12 that my friend's…
  • I lubb pizza. The Brownies I volunteer for had a swim and pizza party last night.. Dominoes next to the leisure centre ftw. I had a mozarella stick and a slice and I wanted another piece but those 8-10 year olds are TOTALLY able to shovel down food like no-one's business. Lidl do frozen pizzas that are around 800 cals for…
  • I am now satisfied that this grave oversight has been corrected. *crawls back into hole*
  • I'm trying to stoke the fire to see you both have at it with your verbal rapiers. Just seemed to jump at me that you hadn't even acknowledged her.
  • I like how the Coach chap has ignored the college-educated Anthropologist
  • Fixed that for you ;) [Seriously, doing a study in dialect and regional language variations with one of my tutees and pop/soda/soft drink/fizzy drink was one of the main things that cropped up...] I love reading these threads with my daily can of Diet something. :)
  • I was gonna say this! The bones are awesome for you, and because they're so soft they aren't a choking/get-stuck-in-your-throat hazard! I like canned salmon... I usually mix it with light Philadelphia cheese and light Mayo and then use as a wrap/sandwich filler, salad topper... it's pretty good mixed with some pasta, light…
  • I have severe mental health issues, and I was the one who left. My ex was nowhere near the person I need to be around. My illness is screwing up my life- I've had two offers and been invited to two other interviews for funding for PhD places, yet I've just had to defer for a year to try and get my mind in check before I…
  • Pop chips, Kallo rice cakes (either a chocolate rice thin, or two blueberry and vanilla rice cakes), cherry tomatoes. I also like to cut a tortilla wrap into pieces and bake them in the oven- home made tortilla chips!!
