... I find it really hard to find some people are for reals, sometimes. But I think this may be a UK vs USA thing again. On topic... OP, I reckon they have full blown cable, and I'm pretty damn sure my granddad is too busy watching the best nature documentary marathons EVER MADE to bother with seeing what I'm up to. Though…

I've never liked Daleks, I always thought they were silly. BUT THAT WAS SO GOOD.

Oh, I think the whole 'YOU WILL BE HUNGRY LATER' thing is bollocks. Chinese food, whether I make it myself or get it from a restaurant, normally fills me up til I go to sleep. I was more talking to those people that really do believe it makes a difference ;)

It's threads like these that make me really appreciate my childhood. My brother 'eats clean' because he's an athlete and a body builder. I just eat healthily, which yes- includes the odd sweet, baked, salty or alcoholic thing. My parents brought my brother and I up on stuff that was made from scratch, but we were also…

I definitely agree with much of what has been said before. We are a lot more opulent in our eating habits than our ancestors were, or even had the choice to be. I struggle with feast days at the best of times, as I'm a vegetarian :p

Hi ladies! Been part of this group for a while, thought I better introduce myself :) My name is Hannah, I've been on a Heathen path since I started forming my own opinions. Like many, I went through the almost obligatory Wiccan phase but that didn't last very long for me. I had my first real, tangible spiritual experience…

Oh. My. God. I'd not heard about this til now, but it was enough to pull me temporarily out of this slump!

1) Moan at my dog for barking and waking me up. 2) Put the dog in with my parents/take the dog downstairs for a wee if they're already at work or whatever 3) Go back to sleep for another hour or so.

No way I'll do all 300, but I'm in for as many as I can!!

Tuna sammies need pickles, yo. So many pickles. And olives. And cucumber. Om nom nom nom NOM.

I bloody love a proper cask ale or beer, so for me it all depends on what the pub has on tap. My dad's brewery does a lovely hopped lager called Republika that is gorgeous, and they're just starting to bring it into pubs. This past week I've been in Yorkshire, though, so I've mostly been drinking York Brewery beers if I…

I'm not a nerd, I'm no way near good enough at maths or science for that. I AM, however, a geek. A massive one.

Sounds awesome to me. I'm trying to make a black/blue deck right now, based around getting stuff from my graveyard and milling the hell out of my opponent :p

MTG! HELL YEAH! What colours do you play? How much did you love/hate the Innistrad Block? How much are you looking forward to Return to Ravnica?!? Any idea on what guild you want to play yet!?? :D:D:D:D

I like comic books, video games and RPG card games. I'm a massive fantasy and science fiction nerd. I'm super into Viking re-enactment, lore, literature, history and movies. I love blood. I burp like a trooper. I'm a huge fan of real ale. Apart from the whole vegetarian thing, I love 'guy' food- pizza, Mexican, fairly…

As cool/cold as I can stand it on that specific day. Even when it's cold, I don't like it too hot.

Aha, cordial! That is a word I should have used :p It's basically cordial =)

I've no idea if yous are in the US or what, and I'm pretty sure you don't get it over there, but I use a tiny drop of squash in my water. Whatever flavour I have, and I always get the no added sugar varieties. Makes the water that much more palatable. I've never liked plain water, unless I was super thirsty or it was a…

I... do NOT understand the 50 Shades obsession, but I was the same with Twilight. But, if you're after some good romancey/dark sort of reads, may I recommend: The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K Hamilton (though after about book 10 or so it just gets unreadable with the erotica... I say erotica, I mean…

I was 11. It was when I started secondary school, and I was in the First Orchestra, so I had to be able to keep my parents updated in case there were extra rehearsals, or rehearsals were cancelled full stop.

In my immediate family, we sometimes say 'Krimma Krimbles!' because apparently that's what I said when I was a baby. But other than that, Crimbo REALLY OFFENDS MY SOUL.

I LOVE this thread. I've got one day a week when I'm at Uni from 9-5 next year, so I'll be doing at least one packed lunch. This is full of great ideas. I have me one of these babys: http://www.sistema.co.nz/pages/Sistema-Lunch/coloured_lunch/1735.htm aaand I was planning on doing things like falafels, pasta salads, cous…
