I had 28lb to lose Jan 2015. I lost 25lb at a rate of about 1lb a week and found it pretty easy to be honest. Then I tried to slow it down in the summer to find maintenance and carried on losing until I'd lost 31lb. Then I maintained, then it swung back up a bit and I am back to a 25lb loss now. I am back trying to get…

I have great respect for anyone who embarks on a fitness / weight-loss / health journey. Am undergoing my own and whilst I no-longer look fat it is still daily work to maintain. I see overweight runners, cyclists, swimmers and gymers. I always look on them with admiration and respect. They are working to change their…

Hi, New to this group and hoping you won't mind me joining. I'm 4 weeks and 4kg into this 5:2 lifestyle. I started 76kg, hit 72kg today but still a long way before I get to my first goal - 64kg.

Fashion I guess. My BMI had just crept over 25 so a cut back week would have been all I needed to bring me back into "healthy". I want to feel like me again, to feel confident when walking around naked in the house, to feel attractive to my husband, to look good in a bikini, to fit in last summers clothes when the sun…

Personally I take a "day off" once per week. I don't binge eat on that day but I am a good bit more relaxed about my eating. As I understand it restricting your calories too much can set your body to "starvation" mode. This is when it tries to hang on to all your reserves as it thinks it's being starved. I figure I can…
