Thank you! I am 36, i've had one child as well if anyone wants to know  I was really worried about the little pouch i had at the base of my stomach, but over time it has leaned out as well, now its merely a crease

Yea, you can't control it - i remember a friend on here saying that it's like drying out a sponge - it dries out all at the same time, so fatloss comes from everywhere you can't control exactly where the loss will be from. If that makes sense. Continue to focus on getting lean and overtime it should improve

During my losing phases i will lift primarily but also include some run days. I make sure i get 10,000 steps in a day though. I'm 5'9 and lost on around 1900 calories for the most part.

So I lost really slowly over the course of a couple of years. Then I was left with a little bit of loose skin but after a consistent programme of lifting I’ve managed to reduce it down to be merely a crease at the base of my stomach and a bit of droopy skin when I’m in plank position. My arms are sweet and my inner thighs…

You all are so lovely - thank you I guess what I'm trying to show is that consistency is the most important factor...you can fall off the wagon, just get back on..and over time, changes will happen xx

Yup! Same person!! Both me! Heavy lifting, focus on protein, moderate deficit, time, and genetics I guess! Also followed a thread on here from years ago by my lovely pal @usmcmp called "so you want a nice stomach" - her advice changed my entire path

You're going to want one that has safeties if you're lifting at home, or have your hubby spot you, or learn how to fail squats.
-
Aww wow, thank you! Lots of time, protein and heavy weights xxx

Thank you!!

My arms probably look too manly or bulky for anyone who's not really into that aesthetic - but it's worth noting that it took A LOT of work to get them that way, also they have a pump as it was uppper body day, and down lights make them look more defined. In my mind the benefits of heavy lifting are immense:

Around 18 months progress here

Heya hun, I'm 34 :) never too late to start - honestly!! Lifting weights has so many other benefits that are good for us women such as improving bone density and protecting against osteoporosis! I started with new rules of lifting for women program - others like strong curves or StrongLifts are also brilliant! I ran…

Deadlifts yesterday were awesome! So much strength with those few extra calories! Managing to stay on track so far. Taking easy to log snacks to family events and avoiding alcohol are helping! I don't want to be a Debbie downer and now drink, but drinking leads to me getting a little lax with my intake - and makes me feel…

I think that's really sensible Jessica! I'm actually sitting around maintenance at the moment too - it's making my workouts pretty darn awesome too!!

Hey guys! Thanks for joining me! I figured I'd start a new thread every week and we can make it through the silly season together! Feel free to check in everyday! Or whenever you can! So far my family have asked me to be the one to bring all the "naughty" food on Christmas Day - chocolate, chippies, biscuits and scorched…

Thanks guys ☺️ little bit nervous about posting pics like these, but appreciate the support!

According to my tracker - there's around a 15lb difference here

Thanks guys! My strength training started with completing new rules of lifting for women - I found it to be a really good resource of info and now incorporate a lot of the exercises as my accessories in my current program. Right now I follow Stronglifts 5x5 and am looking for a new program to follow on from this. I love…
-
Haha thanks  i lost the majority of my weight really slowly and then added in a progressive heavy lifting programme which has definitely helped!!

New progress pic here
