It seems some of these are part of getting a license/premises to open a gym they seem to be everywhere. The gym I attend here has the problem of people racing you on the cardio machines by having them round little islands so you can't see the machine beside you without being very obvious. I have used gyms in the States…

One other part of the program was about this introduction of Low Fat Foods that replaced the fat content with sugar, those members of MFP from the Western side of the pond will know of SnackWell's products. Low Fat but the calories were similar to other products due to their sugar content, there were a lot of products that…

I have used a gym in Maryland while on Vacation there that shares a parking lot with a very good BBQ restaurant, the smell as you leave makes you wish to go over and replace the calories I had just burnt. On one occasion as I was leaving there were 2 members of staff bringing back take-out  Andy

Congratulation on your 18 lbs and as others have said you are the one to decide when to be proud. One question though is your Jack*** cousin of athletic build or the type who drinks with his mates and growing larger? If the later when you reach your goal you can put the boot on your foot and kick his self esteem in the…

Well they say that your weight can go up with water retention so crying should lessen the weight. Also I would have a talk to your Mom before she goes to the grocery store to buy the ingredients that you are trying to lose weight, but if your picture is fairly recent I am sure you will get the standard Mom reply "you don't…

I think you'll find this sentence might be behind it, he might feel that you will stop him doing or eating what he wants. Us male types are as funny as you female types when it comes to be edged into a direction we don't want to go or haven't chosen to go :-) Andy

Hi Lozzle The first thing you need to do is look back at why you binged. Once you can see a pattern then you can work on avoiding it happening again or look at healthier foods to take away the need. You have done so well so far losing the 35 lbs, so be pleased with that. Looking at your age, are you at University? Are you…

The gym I use and previous ones I have been to normally the staff walk you round and suggest what you use to get you started. When I restarted in February there was a major change in the induction process because of changes to our (UK) health and safety laws. I would suggest you speak to a member of staff on your next…

Hi Miriam I am in Oxfordshire, I have been here for about 2 month and went back to the gym 6 weeks before that, I lost 10lbs by just using the gym the remainder has gone with the help from here and logging my food. If you would like a male motivator/supporter then feel free to add me. If you add a little note so I know…

When I had my first session back in the gym after a 6 year break, the body was fine till about 3 hours into my shift at work when the aches started. My cousin replied to my post on Facebook with "Pain is the weakness leaving the body and the sweat is the fat crying". Now when I go to the gym I make sure that far cries…

As I told one of my MFP friends when she was down about the figure going up by 3 lbs from the day before. For those figures to actually happen you would need to eat exactly the same food/calories for 5 weeks and you would also need to burn the same number of calories in excercise for 5 weeks. Not sure about anyone else…
