Thank you for this xx

Good point. Never really thought about it like that

I run 3-4 times a week. I've only been doing it a few months and I'm horribly slow. I really love it though (although at the time I think I'm going to die) I can't refer to myself as a "runner" because I'm worried that if I do people who run marathons will consider it a huge insult to be bracketed with such a rookie as me,…

Can't work out how to do the ticker thing, I'm a bit of a technophobe So my runs are as follows 1/10 3.72 miles 3/10 3.28 Miles 5/10 2.4 miles Not getting much done as my son is off school having had an operation, and my husband is working crazy long hours.

Can I join? I'm new to running so I'll only commit myself to 50 miles, and if I do more it's a bonus!
-
Holy cow! You did that in 6 months?!
-
I've done a few, they're ok actually! I've been doing the Pilates one recently as I'm injured so can't do my usual work out and I really felt the burn the next day so I say go for it xx

I have the Sony Walkman all in one waterproof, sports MP3 and it's great. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00AYAFW0O/ref=mp_s_a_1_208?qid=1436027729&sr=8-208&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=sony+headphones+wireless

Yeah true. I'm actually married to a physio.... But he's less than sympathetic and Preoccupied with his own ironman training injuries! But if my poking around is correct then it was an inversion sprain of the posterior ligament. I'm no physio though!

I can weight bear and I am trying to make sure j keep it moving, but also being mindful that I don't want to do too much. It's very annoying as it's taking me 3 times as long to get anywhere today. Not looking forward to hobbling around at work on it!l

Thank you! Good advice xx

I started running a week ago, I couldn't even get to the end of the road without wanting to stop. I have seen a huge improvement since then and now I can run for at least 15 minutes without even thinking about stopping. That's in a week- and I'm an overweight 35 year old mum of 3, who has always said the only way you'd get…

I'm in Devon!

I wore my HRM to Zumba once and I burned 700 cal so it's very possible! It's a lot of fun too, and doesn't really feel like working out. It's my "treat" work out of the week, but I'd do it every day if I could.
-
Wow! That is incredible. You are inspiring me xx

I bought a garmin vivosmart last week and it's great especially when paired with a HRM- I had been seriously underestimating how much I burn during a work out. It's a bit of an investment but if you're serious and you can find the money, it's really worth it.

Thanks for taking time to replyguys, that's great. I wasn't sure if it was just a gimmick, but I think it will push me to reach my personal goals.

I'm trying a gluten free diet right now. I've had some digestive problems for years which are exacerbated when eating bread and pasta etc and recently it's become really painful. I've been GF for a week and I'm feeling a benefit already. I'm struggling to find things to eat because I'm new at this so I'm subbing for ideas…

I'm a nurse, and while I'm not obsese I'm bigger than I want to be. On my ward we often (and I mean, almost every shift) are too busy for a proper dinner break, so its a case of someone makes a giant plate of toast that we can have at the nurses desk while we're doing our paper work. I work a lot of night shifts find it…

Congratulations on your gain!

Thanks for your reply everyone, unfortunately the closest gym with childcare is 2 towns away and we don't have a car BUT! You have given me a great idea, after I take little man to pre-school I'm going to run home so at least I'll get a little exercise. I'll use my sleep day as my recovery day and then go to the gym once…

Snap!! I've gained 8lb over Christmas and its got to go!! I also have a LO around during the day so I've been doing DVD workouts until I've worked out how to entertain him while I'm in the Gym. I'm a similar weight to you and I'd love to lose 20lb but Ill settle with the first 10lb to begin with. Feel free to add me and we…

LOL I Love the expression Brain Fart!! It sums it up perfectly! I wouldnt mind but he bought me the 30 day shred last week! Ah well, sweet man. (He might be more clever than I'm giving him credit for, there's now a whole tub of ice cream in the freezer going begging - he might as well eat it... sneaky sneaky)

It does get so much easier, I couldnt believe how hard D1L1 was - I'm 'ish' fit and fairly used to high impact aerobic dvds!! I'm L1 day 6 today and I could get through the whole thing without wanting to die just now. I'm thinking that in the next couple of days I'll be ready to go to L2 and I'll have the jelly legs all…

Can I join? I'm only on level 1 day 2. I'm such a wimp - it really made me work hard yesterday and I'm quite used to high impact aerobics so I wouldnt consider myself unfit. Also, I have very weak arms and the 3kg were waaay too much for me! Please tell me it gets easier..... before I move on to level 2 and want to die…

Yay!! Time to go and invest in some little skirts and get those pins out!
