  • oh yes, I used a 9" pie plate, and I didn't feel that the crust was enough to go around. I will use a 8" on the next run.
  • I braved the weather and hopped on the scale to see.........down 0.2! Sure, it's not huge, but its something and at least it's in the direction I want!
  • Well you can always drop an unsigned letter to your gym saying "check the security cam on 12/15 at 7:30pm.....I want to know how to get a 2 for 1 deal too!" I go to Snap Fitness, also a 24hr. My husband and I both have keys and who ever gets there first swipes and holds the door. The other person makes sure to swipe as…
  • Yes, it's totally a biology thing. I know my breasts make me eat tons of carbs  Ironically, as I lose weight, I lose them too  Ahh well, forgot her and plug along. Then in 6 months, when she's blaming her XX chromosomes, just sit back and chuckle to yourself when your loggin weight lost and she's logging miles…
  • yup, your totally not alone. I've gained, lost, held, yo-yo'd. It's like being on a miserable rollercoaster. The thing for me is I can lose and gain all I want, but my bad eating habits were still there. Its like touching a hot pan on the stove. I didn't retrain myself, so I kept getting burned in the long run. So, with…
  • I was very surprised just how good it was. I really recommend this recipe!
  • I'm big on writting it down BEFORE I eat it, because I tend to overestimate before I eat it than after. If I haven't measured something, or have a guarenteed cal count on it, I tend to think it's bigger than it was before I inhale it. So my 1.5c serving is 2c in my mind. If I eat it first, then maybe it was only 1c - my…
  • Welcome and good luck! I've become a crack monkey with this site - it's on my Droid phone, my ipod touch and frequented on my computer. It's amazing how buying a scale and actually measuring my foods have made such a drastic change to my weight.

  • Hubby is getting baked chicken breast with italian breadcrumbs and parm shake cheese, mine is uncoated but I have Mrs Dash on it, corn and sweet potatos. I have a gym class tonight so needed something I can throw in the oven while I shower when I get back. I'm thinking tomorrow will be a recipe I've been eyeballing from…
  • 3.6 for me.....I'm super excited but I know I'm going level off eventually. I have a friend who weights quite a bit less than I do, but our % of body weight loss is really close. Her # of lbs lost is a lot lower and I'm struggling to convince her she's doing great. I can only tell her so many times a day that "when you…
  • No, I use cool whip but you can spread it around like icing. You could easily use icing or glaze, but watch the calories it adds :)
  • Oh - nutrional points of my above cake. 1/12 of dry mix is 170 cal, 1 oz orange soda is 2 cal, 1 TB of lite cool whip 20 cal = 191 cal per piece of cake with topping. It will vary with the type of cake you use, and the type of soda and if there is topping of any kind. 1 oz of soda is because I used 12 oz and cut the cooked…
  • Ok, so I made two kinds of this cake - the first was dark chocolate cake mix and diet cherry pepsi. That went over really well topped with lite cool whip. The second was vanilla cake mix and diet orange soda. I had to use Crush, which isn't my favorite type of orange soda - but it was at the grocery store so I went with…
  • Wow - thats so awesome. I'm excited to have small victories, I can't wait to reach a big one like this!
  • Congrats girl! For me it was looking at the numbers and realizing the food is SO NOT WORTH IT. Sure, I got 30 seconds of happiness, but then I had hours of guilt looking at the numbers. Blah! I'm learning to take enjoyment from healthy foods - a crisp apple can be just as sweet as a candy.
  • its great huh? After almost 4 weeks of logging what I shovel into my gullet, I have lost 13 lbs - and after a week or so of "normal" portions (instead of AMMP's supersized portions) I find I am satisfied with my smaller portions. maybe that whole shrunken stomach thing is true :)
  • I have a back muscle I damaged in a horseback riding accident. If my electrolytes are low (sweating from working out or hot weather, being sick and not eating, etc) then I will get vicious cramping in that one muscle. I find a banana works to combat it. Usually a day or two of a banana as a snack helps.
  • Congrats - doesn't it feel great :) Keep up the good work!
  • last night I made turkey meat loaf and took the time to figure out all the ingredient's values, then my 1/8th portion of whole loaf.....then left the freakin' thing on the stove after dinner - forgot to put it away last night. the cat did enjoy the remaining loaf overnight - after all my hard work
  • How are you guys doing the success rate? Lbs or % of body weight lost? BTW - congrats on the weight loss so far!
  • I'm 5'10" and my (very very) long term goal is 180.
  • Oh gosh no Zebra. I don't have a scale at home because I would be a crack monkey weighing myself everyday. It was mentioned people weighing themselves naked, and that's what I was cracking a joke about. Not a group challenge either, I was just saying good luck to anyone weighing in today :D
  • I popped one out first (from the middle) to make sure they were crispy on the bottom first. As they sat the wonton wrappers absorbed a bit of the extra juice - so no sitting around waiting for company :) I keep the turkey/tomato sauce on low while I waited- stirred it occasionally. Then made them, popped them in the oven…
  • I listen to angry fast stuff alot, and some stupid things - looking at my current mix.....Pink is great (So What, You and Ur Hand, Get The Party Started) Justin Timberlake (Sexy Back) , Eve, Gwen Stefani, *****cat Dolls (Don't Ya) Avril Lavigne (Boyfriend), Ashlee Simpson (Lala) even some of Britney Spears' stuff (Gimme…
  • Hi Cheri - welcome and good luck :D
  • I just don't know how my co-workers would feel ;) Yeah! 4.4 lbs lost! It's amazing the weight that I have been dropping simply by watching what I shovel into my mouth. I'm currently on 1300 cal and exercise is moderate (I didn't do any real exercise this week, work has been too hectic, in at 8, out at 8).
  • So I made these last night for company. It was a last min thing (so last min I had to run out and buy a cupcake pan!). I was nervous - had never made it before and wanted to make a good impression. I will say, I wimped out a bit on filling them up, so I have a lot of the ricotta cheese/spinach left over (which I made into…
  • Welcome :) and congrats on your baby!!

  • I started with 1500 and noticed I was reaching 1400ish with no stretch so I changed to 1300 and its made me more mindful. I'm finding extra gym time helps combat those days I'm not close to my goal. A sliver of pie or 30 extra mins of treadmill tends to make me rethink the pie :D
  • Bangor - moved around a bit, but was born here and moved back here for no real reason lol
