  • @specialkitty7 LOL no it is baked on both the chicken and the peppers. it is delish!
  • WE have a similar rule here, as daughter, and sometimes hubby, will eat the carbage AND the good more expensive stuff. So if you are going to have a carbage day, you dont get the good thing for lunch/snack. Dinner is always good stuff. But if you are trying to eat healthy, then by all means eat the more expensive and good…
  • This was a full lunch and supper bento. Cheese shapes, mixed raw veggies, almond flour pizza sticks with pizza sauce and homemade ranch for dipping, bear shaped almond flour chive and thyme muffin, strawberries, blackberries and apricots, hard boiled egg, Bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed sweet peppers, bacon wrapped…
  • This was a lunch and snack bento, Low carb as always. Meat and cheese with mayo roll, homemade ranch dressing in the sauce containers, blackberries, homemade trail mix, carrots, english cucumber, celery and a mushroom and a cute bear almond flour chive and thyme muffin.
  • We actually do it in a square dish also for bread. Hubby makes ruben sandwiches, or tuna and cheese sandwiches and toast. He misses bread but has wheat issues so this is perfect for him. I dont miss bread much so my couple times a week of a fried egg and spam or bacon sandwich is fine for me. There are variations in the…

  • We make our own laundry detergent and also our own fabric softener with white vinegar. But for eating, we go to a place called The Olive Branch. They are just an oil and vinegar shop, imported from Greece or Italy depending on the product. But they have the biggest stock of vinegar I've ever seen, over 25 flavors in the…
  • I do bake, but only a couple times a month. We loved baked goods pre-LC and so we do bake cookies or muffins etc a couple times a month when we crave something. Almond flour is our go to and it is so filling it is rough to go too over board with the baked goods.
  • Grew up on powdered milk or sometimes skim but now drink grass fed whole milk when I do drink it. i do more cream or coconut milk than milk now.
  • We buy the unfiltered or with 'The Mother' from walmart, tractor supply, Big R, the Amish Market, kroger, Whole Foods, etc. You can find it most anywhere.
  • Daughter and I have both taken up crochet when my hands allow me to do that. We love it! Tried knitting but I got the needles so tight and i was so frustrated people around me were in serious danger of losing an eye, so I went to crochet and like it so far. But we also cross-stitch, sew, quilt and latchhook.
  • We use ACV unfiltered or with 'The Mother' for our chickens to help their digestion and keep stuff from growing in their water. So Maybe I should try it too? One swig for the chickens, one swig for me. It is a swig, swig pass party :)
  • Wait, what? where? We are semi-preppers and have 5 gallon food grade buckets full of food so we've got room for almond flour in huge bags! Ive found flax seed meal there we get a couple huge bags a month to add to our stockpile but Ive never seen Costco carry the almond flour. Ive got to go scour the shelves now
  • This is good information! I am not able to take any birth control but not worried about getting pregnant but if you are actively trying NOT to get pregnant then knowing the risks with Inositol is good. How did you find out it broke your BCP? I know you were spotting earlier. Did you start? or did you ovulate?

  • Was it? we got some turnip and rudabaga the other day to try but havent done it yet. Good to know there's no point in trying fried Jicama
  • So much this! I'll personally take a small chance of hurting the baby over the very large chance of miscarrying the baby all together again.
  • That's what ive found too. Ive found some /r/ groups who count something they made up because the wiki page on it says it is about 1/2 as sweet as sugar, but there is NO calorie or carb info on it at all. It seems to be a neutral vitamin powder that just happens to be sweet.

  • Metformin is a class B medication and not harmful to humans either in utero or after they are born according to the med info I get with my metformin From the pharmacy. When I went into the ER with my last pregnancy they told me met was fine to take during the whole pregnancy Along with a print out of a NIH study that says…
  • Before I started LCHF, Inositol and Met, i had the worst periods. Heavy, like overflowed 2-3 overnight pads a day, running down my legs heavy. They were very clotty, from small sunflower seed size to bigger plum sized ones. They ran 8-11 days, hurt so bad I was on 800mg motrin 3x a day plus a heating pad and sometimes…
  • If you have upset tummy with Met try ginger tea or ginger pills. It helps the tummy upset. If its more the constant potty issues then lowering your carbs helps a whole lot along with using the ER version of Met. If you arent IR, then Met doesnt help a lot as the only real thing that medication does is help your body…
  • It actually can help a lot of things, but for our discussion I mentioned insulin regulation. But it helps mood disorders especially depression, helps balance hormones and helps egg quality, if you were looking for any of that. But for diabetics and those with insulin issues, it is great for insulin regulation with and…
  • net because I love flax and veggies. but if i was doing more than 20g net, id probably count total because then i could eat flax and veggies anyway
  • Inositol helps with insulin regulation, so you dont have to have PCOS to benefit from it.
  • Same here! Thankfully the Met is still working for me, as I know it can stop working in some PCOS women, and I take Inositol to help with that too so I can do about 1500 cal/day and lose if i stay LC.
  • Nice to hear laols! Glad things are working for you.

  • OO ty! I didnt even see that, and I dont know how i missed it! Sorry, tyvm for posting this.
  • @DittoDan YES! Most women, but not all, have a huge problem losing weight. There was a study done, Ill have to see if I can find the link where women with PCOS had decently lower bmr, and if you have PCOS and IR it is even lower. So yes, many stories of PCOS women who were eating less than 800 calories a day net, didnt add…
  • We tried this with the sweet peppers and hubby loved it and daughter will eat them. They smelled amazing! Next time we'll cook it with the hot peppers since only hubby eats them and he LOVES hot!
  • Try the http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group for more info to see if the LCHF WOE is right for you.
  • Oh to make this fit into a low carb diet, you'd use real full fat cream cheese and cheese along with the whole eggs, but it looks very good! Hubby is our breakfast maker so I am going to ask him to make this. Thank you!
