http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group Try there for good info and support for LCHF

From the information/polls/discussions on the LCHF boards and forums, the majority of those doing LCHF have a medical condition, many didnt find out until after they started and then went to ask a doctor why, when calories were the same, they lost weight on LCHF and not on a SAD. Insulin is a hormone, so often if you have…

This one ppl said they found glass in it, more than one person said this so I'd be careful using this product.

OOO I cant wait! I love fat bombs for a quick snack or even breakfast on days I dont have time to cook so trying new ones my daughter will eat also. Your's are the ones she wants to try the most, especially the chocolate covered strawberries. So ill keep looking to see if i can find Cocoa butter somewhere online. THX!!
-
I was just asking hubby the same thing! Like seriously came here to look at some @DittoDan's fat bomb recipes and they ask for Cocoa butter and I wasnt sure if Walmart would have it or not.

You look amazing! Great job, and I want your #Hangry shirt :p

Same, have a nightshade allergy and they sneak those buggers in all kinds of things!! So I stick to what I know, BK is good but expensive if you go bunless and I go ketchup and mustardless cause...nightshades. But my most often go to is McD's McDouble, no bun, no ketchup, no mustard, add mayo, extra pickle, and substitute…

Welcome! Glad you found us but so sorry you have PCOS. We well know the 'joys' PCOS brings. Read thru the threads here, there is a whole lot of good info on diets, suppliments, IR and non IR PCOS and other things. So read thru, then ask any questions you might have.

I do measure it out cup by cup the first time I make it so i know the serving size. The other option is weigh it, then take out whatever look like a serving size to you and then divide it by how much that serving size weighs. That will give you how many servings are in there. ETA: that looks amazingly good! Curse this…

ive been using this for a couple months and I love it also. Thx for sharing!

We LOVE corned beef!! We bought a few corned beef points from aldi the other day for really cheap, about $1.99lb. Had one last night, in the crockpot and OMG was it good!! We also had cabbage but we pan fried it in butter, but we often would use the juices from the corned beef to boil the cabbage in, that's pretty good…

MFP's recipe builder is a joke, I agree. Ive been putzing with it all morning, trying to add turnips to an Italian Sausage Soup recipe I already had in there. Took me quite a few tries, about 3 different ways until it stuck. Then hubby, who's making the soup for the crockpot this morning comes to tell me the weight of the…

I dont know it has to be an all or nothing proposition. Start low carb, like Fit_Goat do under 100g a day to begin, if you are above that. If you are lower, than just try lower carbs and still count calories. Then in a few weeks go lower and still count. You might find that at the end you are happy Keto and counting, or…

Oh my! That is exciting! I was dx with breast cancer at the age of 30 and again at 32 so NOT getting it again is a huge plus. All the more reason to stay keto. I so appreciate this info. Makes me more determined to reject the carbage and stick to keto.

No no! dont throw it out! It is good info. More info is always good info and it is good to know that many can handle soy, I actually really liked to cook with tofu. I was just asking what was working for you and letting you know what id heard/read/etc, not saying dont eat soy by any means. Just be aware for some, it can…

The acne, heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, along with clots and extra long periods are all usually attributed to high estrogen and often compounded by high insulin levels. If you are having the heavy periods, I'd very strongly recommend you ask your doctor for a fasting INSULIN level. It is a quick blood test after you fast…

This made me snort! IF she is interested in low carb, but not quite a diet like yours, there is a lot of sweets to be made like fat bombs and other sweets like cookies, muffins, pancakes, etc using almond flour instead of wheat flour. I dont eat these everyday or even every month but once in awhile, a lemon chocolate chip…

Isnt the HRT they use for menopause an estrogen replacement? If so, I can imagine her wanting you to eat soy instead because it would it would increase your estrogen, which is what a phytoestrogen does...hmm if i read Id have less DUH moments... :| But with PCOS because most of us are high in estrogen already, it can be a…

try http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group. Wont get much support or love for LCHF on the main forums.

sweet potato fries? if you dont want to fry them, then bake them? you can even add some butter, cinnamon and sugar if you want want regular salt fries.

Tofu, which is soybean curd isnt good for hormone issues, either. Soy messes with hormones, especially increasing estrogen. So most women, but especially those with hormone issues like PCOS, are recommended to keep their soy intake to a bare minimum. Which sucks when i saw my mayo was made with soybean oil. I need to make…

I am not a nurse and it is still weird to me to be eating bacon grease on my eggs. Been drilled in so long that fat is bad it is just...weird. So I understand where you are coming from. But i just didnt want misinformation out there for new ones making their way to this forum. And yes, too much protein for a patient with…

I second this, try the http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group and the http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/37-primal-paleo-support-group. You will find a lot more info and support on a group dedicated to your lifestyle change than you will in the general forums

Ok, fat bombs can have a place in any diet if it fits your macros, whatever they may be. You dont have to be Keto, you can be a LCHF and still enjoy some fat bombs. It is about getting your macros in order and if you need some fat to do that, then by all means eat one. There is also little to no scientific evidence that…

I know there were a few LCHF vegetarians around, either here or on the Keto board. Hopefully one will chime in and help you out. I know someone just asked this on the PCOS board too. Maybe we need to make a sticky for vegetarian LCHF ppl so there is a go to place?
-
Oh my! I am so sorry. How frustrating and disheartening this must all be for you. HUGS! You said you lost weight, but with help. What kind of help? What was your diet like? Carbs seem to make our hormones go all wacky, so a Low Carb High Fat diet might help your symtoms. Do you know if you are estrogen dominant? If so,…

This is what I posted in another group forum: But we raise pigs, chickens, turkeys, and ducks for eggs and meat. Well no pig eggs, havent invented that yet. While I get sad when it is time for butcher, it is easier because we treat our animals like kings. The pigs have a shower in their pen they can pull themselves and…

Someone else might have a better explanation than I do but this is what Ive read. IR is where your cells dont recognize the insulin you produce in your pancreas and so asks your pancreas to produce more, which it doesnt recognize and so asks for even more. Eventually, your pancreas has had enough and gives up. It stops…

I keep seeing ppl say that on here but the research ive found says Vitex is safe to take during TTC and pregnancy, that it can be unsafe to STOP taking it before 12-16 weeks of pregnancy. It actually helps ppl get and keep the pregnancy if they are progesterone deficient. If there is other research id love to read it. I…
