I don't eat as much as I should, but I've figured out ways to cook some things that make them more bearable. I like greenbeans with minced onions, and I like them cooked for a really long time. I also love green, orange, and red peppers in stir fryes (fries?), not raw or by themselves. Corn on the cob doused in butter and…

I'd say. Started at 253 pounds. Now about 191 pounds. I've lifted heavy since I started in November 2011. 209 pounds to 191.5 pounds

I agree! I'm leaning towards #5 as my favorite. The fit is GREAT on you.

Dunno what this is. I have Mirena, and I have had no issues losing weight on it.

I started with googling strength training routines for beginners. I found a few on bodybuilding.com, and I had some of my very knowledgeable MFP friends review a routine and give me some great suggestions. I also looked up routines on YouTube, which is a great source for form. As I got more into weight lifting, I…

28 5'6ish 1800 Heavy lifting 3X/week, cardio 2X/week, sports for fun I've lost 61.5 pounds so far, from 253lbs to 191.5 pounds. I would like to get down to at least 170 pounds, as I think that would be an ideal weight for my body composition/lean body mass. However, my main goals are getting stronger and decreasing my body…

Love this so much! I love that you recognize your Self as wise and beautiful. This was such an honest perception of what so many of us are saying all the time. Thank you for sharing!

Tom Hardy is my #1. Viggo I cried when he died. Mark Wahlberg. Mmmmmm. I think I'm more attracted to his voice as Batman than anything. ETA: WHOA! Pictures are huge. Don't know how to resize.

Man...I just got super inspired.

I agree that I cannot fathom forgetting my child, but I vividly remember a story last year where a father who wasn't used to a routine forgot his children in the back seat. They were left in his vehicle all day, and they both died. Along the same lines, an upstanding mother in my community ran over her 1 year old baby…

Truth. I don't do any kind of jumping exercises for this very reason.

I've been doing SL5x5 for a few months. I had to take about a 5 week break because my job was temporarily moved, and I no longer had access to a bar. That did terrible things for my strength, and I had to do a major deload. I'm back up to my top squat weight of 130#, and I have exceeded my previous PR on bench at 90#. I…

First, if my google calculations are right, 15 stone would make you 210 pounds, correct? If so, 1200 calories is proooooobably too low of a target for you. Find out your TDEE and then cut 20% from that, OR set your MFP goal to lose ONE pound a week, not TWO and eat back all of your exercise calories, or at least half of…

Not too often, but not because I'm opposed to it. Because I hate the stupid red bar. MFP might as well blare sirens when you go over your calorie goal! Grrrr. :explode:

Nothing wrong with snacking at night if you have room for it in your calories. I have 360 calories worth of Ben & Jerry's Greek Frozen Yogurt every single night after my kids have gone to bed. I go to bed full and happy.

Meeee! I am! I think I am definitely taking a long time to lose the weight, and I am totally OK with that. It has taken me 1 year 9 months to lose 62 pounds. For the most part, it's been intentional. I was hoping to be at my goal weight by October 31st this year, which would be 2 years since I've started, but I won't quite…
