I think it should be about feeling healthy, not about losing X number of pounds. I am actually around the same figures as you, and for me, my goal is 155 (though I am 25, not 18). Like someone else said, its attainable and will not make me look gaunt or unhealthy. My focus right now is making lifestyle changes. In the long…

I've had this problem my entire life. Try eating cereals like shredded wheat or oatmeal. I also eat bananas and apples w/ the skins which are very helpful. I know you said its not a water problem, but i'm going to say this anyway, drink water. 95% of the time that helps move things along. Another thing to consider, are you…

I just thought about posting something like this myself. I am having the same problem--between work, commuting, grad school, and homework I have ZERO time to work out. It makes me so frustrated because I sit around all day and literally feel myself getting fatter, lazier, and sicker by the minute. I would like to ride my…

Aw, I think you should have fun tapping into your curly self (as I always say) and forget what everyone else thinks. Save straightening your hair for special occasions. Maybe find a way to style it where it looks less "cute-sie" and more professional. Like maybe half up, clipped, or textured ponytail/bun?

Alll of you look amazing! I am 5'6ish and 170 at the moment, but my weight keeps shifting up or down by 1-3 pounds. I can't seem to shake 170!! Since we are of similar body types what did you do to move past a certain weight?

I just discovered couch to 5K!! The last three times I have gone out for a run/walk I have tried to stick to the intervals the recommend, but damn its hard! I am only on week 1 so maybe that is why, I might have to continue on week one until I feel I can move up. I always forget to take my inhalers, but alas I will try to…

5 pounds, but I think its mostly water weight. I can't seem to shake my standard weight. I also don't trust my scale, and usually go around the house testing out all the scales and then take an average LOL.

Thanks for all of your awesome suggestions! I guess I should have mentioned that I am not a morning person (hehe). I go to bed at a decent time, but it is a struggle for me to get up early just for work (though it has gotten easier). I can't stand the taste of coffee, and though I like tea, I stay away from caffeine.…
