22 pounds since March 14th (not quite 8 weeks) so just under 3 pounds/week.

Can't wait to try this!

^^^THIS! I totally relate to what you are saying about not liking exercise. Find something you LIKE to do. Tennis, Zumba, mini-golf, frisbee, ANYTHING to get you moving. And definitely eat more. I was at 1200 cals for about 2 weeks and then suddenly it felt like I was walking underwater. I had ZERO energy. I upped my cals…

I can't get over how many people say almond milk is "delicious". I'll use it in a protein shake but there's no way I could drink it straight cuz I think it tastes nasty. OTOH, I've only ever had the Blue Diamond vanilla almond millk, the kind that doesn't have to be refrgerated until opened. Am I missing something?

I don't know if they purge themself if they haven't been eaten in a while but I CAN tell you how to delete them. Click Add Food and check the box next to the food you want to get rid of. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and you'll see "Delete from List".

I couldn't agree more. I don't like the concept of a "cheat" day, either. Just the name encourages a person to feel guilty about what they eat that day, and guilt is never a good emotion to have about food. I strongly feel that if I want a food that is not part of my normal daily food plan then I simply have to earn the…

I learned in nutrition class in college that as long as it has USP seal of approval on the label, it should be fine. The USP is a lab that does independent quality testing on vitamins and supplements to confirm the product actually contains what the label says it does. Some brands might be a little better than others, but…

Bless you for saving Keeler! That is how I found my Baby (black Lab). She was about 6 months old, running across the interstate (she came THIS CLOSE to being run over), terrified, starving, freezing. Once I got her home she wouldn't let anyone but me near her at first and she was super scared of men. I'm convinced she was…

If you don't like structured exercise (walking a particular time or distance, or going to the gym), or if you don't like feeling like exercise is something you have to check off your To-Do list, then I'd suggest finding something FUN to do. Something that you'll WANT to do, not something you "should" do. There's your…

A little OT: I tried Nutella when I was in Australia and I thought it was nasty. But then I was in a movie theater there, watching an American film and there was a scene showing someone spreading peanut butter on bread, and there were gasps from the audience and cries of, "Oh GROSS!" (And I was like, whaaa...? What's the…

Haha, I'm glad it works for you, but that would just seem like a tease for me! :)

The problem is that I've used many bmr calculators and I get results anywhere from 1600 to 2700 and everything in-between. How am I supposed to know which one is correct? I realize they only give estimates, but what the heck am I supposed to do with an estimate that is 1000 cals off from another estimate? That's why I was…

Ok, I'm not gonna argue this cuz it's probably correct. But I can't imagine there would be a noticeable difference. Not enough to explain a 600 cal difference between it and mfp. I just used a third website to calculate it and it said 2700! @jonski - I'm not trying to get the TDEE, just my base cals.

At least 2 tbsp of PB on each slice (400) + 100 each slice of bread (200) + whatever the jelly adds up to. I didn't look it up specifically for the cal content, but c'mon it's like pure sugar. Couple tbsp of that's gotta be good for at least 100 cals. How do you get yours under 300?

Shirataki noodles with broccoli and tomato vodka sauce, with kim che on the side :) ETA: Don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've re-sized the pic twice. Oh well, you can see enough to get the idea.

I haven't read the whole thread but I just had to say, I LOVE THIS! I printed out a dozen copies (in huge red letters) and taped them up all over my house. Can't wait to get back on the treadmill and when I start to struggle, just yell, "Cry, fat, CRY!!!!"

The thing is, he's only been logging for 2 days, so he hasn't had time to know what's "working" for him. I just want him to get off on the right foot. But thanks for the feedback :)

I have a question...? I have read that losing the weight slowly will mean less loose skin. Does that mean that losing it faster actually PREVENTS the skin from "bouncing back" as well, or does it just mean the body needs more time to "catch up" with the weight loss? In other words, will my body look the same at the end of…

2bgoddess, he wasn't talking about the picture when he said "high BMI". He was talking about the description underneath that compared 10% to 30%, and calling 30% a high BMI.
