You can lose weight at 80 grams. Many people have.

One morning, about six months into keto and shortly after I realized that I was never going off low-carb, I woke up in a cold-panic with the realization that I would never have another Twinkie in my life. I never even ate them all that much. It was just horrible to think that I would be "missing out" on them forever. I…

I guess it really depends on how you view carbs and their effect on the body. I see them as detrimental to health and addictive. In a way, I have come to associate them with the same feelings as cigarettes. Sure, a couple cigarettes once in a while aren't likely to give me cancer, but they're also not good for me. I don't…

Making a couple 6 ounce burgers on the grill for brunch.

I wonder what they would say about my fiber levels. LOL

I do Disney a lot, and I manage it. Of course, I prefer to eat outside the park. The food is cheaper and I get more of what I eat. There's a Fuddruckers right down the street. There's a couple McDonald's all around. Plus plenty of other places.

The macros look fine. Just keep at it. Sometimes it takes a while for things to start moving again. I've had whole months where my weight didn't move at all. Then, without changing a thing, it started going down again. You can't control these things.

Twice a day. Sometimes 3. Sometimes 1. Rarely 4 or more.

I've been to them. They are awesome. They are a bit on the higher end of our eating out budget, so we only do them once in a while. I think we spent like $125 last time (after tax and tip) for just me and my wife. That wasn't even one of the most expensive ones around.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/FIT_Goat/view/week-1-summary-819337 The week 1 summary is up (I also put a daily summary up for yesterday, but it's short and just says where my numbers were yesterday). I end up paying for food I don't eat all the time, when we eat out. I have some tricks that help me out. I often get the…

Had to eat out twice today, but not to worry, I didn't break the rules. A pound of patties from Wendy's and an 8 ounce burger from a steakhouse (cheeseless and plain). My wife called it the saddest dinner I've ever had when we ate out. Lol.

That really depends on how concerned you are about the calories and how much bacon you eat. A couple slices a day, not a huge deal. A pound a day (yes, I have done that) and it adds up. I usually just put the raw in and subtract about 8g of fat per slice (using a negative entry and the bacon grease) because I weighed it…

Is that both packages or just the one you had in the fridge? I bet the American one is cooked. You lose a lot of fat when you cook them. It is that it serving size differences (check the grams per serving). If the bacon looks essentially the same, the calories will be pretty close when prepared the same way.

Fortunately, coconut oil is a new obsession and not, at all, required for LCHF. You don't need MCT oil either. If you don't like it, don't bother with it. I stopped consuming any coconut oil a long time ago, although there is still some hanging out in my pantry. Just find a fat source you do enjoy.
-
Is yours listed as raw and the American listed as fried? I have seen that before.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/FIT_Goat/view/day-6-30-ground-beef-818011 Day 6 is done. I finally managed my 2,800 calorie goal. I was also very busy today. That probably helped. My one week graphs won't be tomorrow, they'll be up on day 8. Because I started on a Wednesday, and each weekly summary will be a Wednesday.…

I am already past 8.5 pounds, as of lunch today. I am not at all sick. I wasn't always thrilled at the idea of more ground beef, but haven't been sick.
-
I have a picture of the beef I am eating, but the short answer is that none of those things are important enough to worry about.
-
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/FIT_Goat/view/day-5-30-ground-beef-817672 I went back and got another 15 pounds of beef today. Can't turn down the sale price. Tomorrow, I go to Disney. Bringing at least a pound of burger with me. Still only getting about 2100 calories a day.

To figure out what percentage of fat a burger is, divide the fat grams by the serving size, times 100. So, if your meat has 30 grams of fat per serving, and a 112 gram serving size, then you would do (30/112)*100= 26.8% -- roughly 27%. The rest of the percentage, to 100%, is the lean. So, that would be 73/27 ground beef.

Either set of those numbers is fine. Ignore people who tell you that you are doing it wrong. You are fine. There is no such thing as too much fat, unless you really weren't losing weight for months.
-
I doubt exercise is kicking you out of ketosis. There could be something else going on. How much are you eating? What are your macros?
-
Also, be careful on the Atkins site. They subtract sugar alcohols in their net carbs. That's disingenuous. They should count as half a gram for each gram listed. That's especially true because they use maltitol, which is cheap but it basically acts as if you've eaten half that amount of sugar.
-
This obsession with macros is stressful and counter-productive. What were your macros before? What are they now? Why do you think you were doing it wrong?
-
I was feeling like breakfast, today. That is a good sign. Weight popped up a tad, but still well under the starting weight. I have started dumping a couple tablespoons of water into the pan, after cooking, to deglaze it and also to make a little "gravy" or "broth" to have with my meat. I'm feeling pretty good today. I feel…

Yep, pretty much this. This is why I stay zero-carb. My gut is much happier, healthier, and [dare I say it] normal now. Already participated in the American Gut Project, after one year of nearly zero carb. I don't know that it provided any interesting information. I only did it because someone else paid for it. I really…

How can they both be thin and fit when one has regained 100 lbs and can't drop it? Oh, they "know someone". LOL, yeah everyone "knows someone". That proves nothing. Ignore these jokers.
-
I never even considered it, primarily because I don't normally log. And, when I do, the numbers are pretty meaningless for me. I looked at what it offered, and realized that most wouldn't benefit someone who isn't using this as a calorie counting or macro counting tool.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/FIT_Goat/view/day-4-30-ground-beef-817312 Day 4 of 30 is done. Not too bad, so far. My wife lectured me about the raw meat. She hates when I eat that. I usually have it when she is out, for that reason. She worries too much.
