Yeah I just really really really like nuts. I knew they were causing me problems. Somewhere I have a spreadsheet from one of my early carnivore attempts that wasn't point, and even there you can see the macadamia nuts and mushrooms. Plus some artificial sweeteners where in there as well oh, because those were real hard for…

Obviously, it is my belief that the higher percentage of your diet that is high-fat and low-carb animal products, the healthier you will be and the better it is for your body. I also believe the higher the percentage, the easier it is to eat to satiety and experience weight normalization effortlessly. And, logically, the…

Yeah, he's more tolerant of plants than I am. And he is more concerned with organs and grass-fed, but whatever. The point is the same. And, someone who is metabolically healthy can probably eat like he suggests.

And some inspiration for this week (although it is about two weeks too late). From: http://www.gnolls.org/3606/will-you-go-on-a-diet-or-will-you-change-your-life/ Will You Go On A Diet, or Will You Change Your Life? It’s New Year’s Day again—which means it’s time to resolve to lose a bunch of weight and get in shape.…

I think I have commented, privately, about some "nutritional" training that I received. For various reasons, the estimated daily calorie needs are up to 6,000 calories. But, they don't want you eating more than one egg a day. You shouldn't eat red meat more often than every other day. Fat should be limited, and protein is…

I don't really drink enough for this to be a challenge. But, I think it will benefit everyone who succeeds.

I try and stay out of the drama. Unfortunately, it gets brought to me several times a week. I end up watching more videos (from both sides) than I wish, but I review (or other mods review) videos before posting them. Frank isn't a horrible source of information, but his conclusions are often a stretch and his perception of…

I need to exercise today, but it's leg day. I hate leg day. LOL

Alright, I know I said I wasn't going to talk about Frank. But, I just got news that all of his reddit accounts have been suspended. We have been dealing with his misbehavior for over a year and trying to work with the admins about it. He had half a dozen accounts, or more, that he was using to try and get around the bans.…

A lifetime supply of ribeyes would be awesome. Today, I had ground beef. I checked. It was Cargill ground beef! Maybe I am a shill!

As an aside, I went and watched like 4 of his videos. I haven't watched any in ages. He is really harping on the iron overload thing. He also complains about reddit a lot. Which is funny, because he makes it sound like we are the problem. He still thinks I am being paid off by big meat. I wish.

He isn't a bad guy. Much of his issue is that he abusively attacks anyone who doesn't agree with him or even questions what he says. When people pointed out that thousands have thrived without complicating this way of eating, he lashed out and made videos bashing people and groups. Most of those are deleted now. Actually…

They certainly are good if your problem is having too much money and nothing to do with it.

As for Frank, I usually don't talk about him. Some of his information is good, but I would take most of his conclusions with a serious grain of salt. I probably know more about him than I want, and I have been around since before his first arrival in the carnivore scene. The only thing I will say is that he managed to get…

Dairy is perfectly acceptable for zerocarb. The name is misleading.

It is a concern only for people with a very specific genetic disorder and those who receive frequent blood transfusions. Your body will not absorb excessive amounts of iron from your food, if you have enough. It is a non-issue. Granted, I am a blood donor. I was one long before I became a carnivore, though. My iron levels…

There are several reasons Frank is not accepted by the majority of the carnivore/zerocarb community and has been banned from just about every group I am part of. And, it is not because I am getting paid off by Cargill. LOL
-
Man, what is it about the new year that brings out the phony experts. If I have one more person message me (usually on reddit) about how their diet should be considered zerocarb (when it isn't), I am going to lose it.

A heavy leg day always seems to show up on the scale the next day, for me. I knew it would be rough today, because my legs were like jelly yesterday evening. Tomorrow will probably be worse, physically, but today it showed up on the scale.

That would be cool, except people would keep trying to come up and get my meat.

I have been busy the last couple days. My mom has been car shopping and she finally finished. Then she gave me her old car, so I had to go and get that registered and insured. Then do a bunch of errands. It is not a new car, by any means, but it replaces my 2002.

There are people who are super strict, no coffee/dairy/spices/etc. but that is mostly when dealing with health issues and not just weight loss.
-
You can drink coffee. I would just be careful not to drink coffee instead of eating, when hungry.

Looks like it will be a small group of us. I'll post a follow up thread in a week. We can use this one for stuff this week.

Losing two pounds a week is quick and likely not healthy, but would get 50 pounds off in 6 months, as quickly as you gained them. But, gaining and losing weight that fast is not healthy. Losing weight is controlled by what your body can mobilize, gaining is controlled by how much you can put in.
-
Yes, but that should be mostly done now. No more excuses.
-
I was under the impression that is was something like 22 calories per pound of body fat per day. So, that takes a bit more math. If we assume 145 lbs is a healthy weight and ~23% body fat and we start at 225 lbs, with no loss of LBM we start with 113.4 lbs of fat and end with 33.4 lbs. Meaning the max deficits range from…

* Assuming this is how Ikan Bilis are made, they are fine to eat. * Is there a way? Trying to make it at home, you might get close. There is still likely to be significant carbs from the dairy used. And, it is going to take a lot of artificial sweeteners (which can cause issues depending on which ones you are using). The…

Just to point out, there is no such thing as an essential carb. There is no reason staying at keto-levels for the rest of your life would have negative health effects. Without knowing your doctor's reasoning, it is hard to guess why they think you should increase your carbs. My doctor flat out just told me that the reason…
