Any exercise that is beyond a person's ability has the potential to put them in the hospital. Plus, do have this guys' full medical history? ESPECIALLY P90X...there are warnings all over the guide book that if dude couldn't complete the fit test then he's not ready for P90X. They are ADAMANT about that! I completed P90X…

I strongly suggest you stay off of it and just work your upper body until it's feeling better. If you try to do anything that is not recommended and supervised by a physical therapist, you may end up injuring it worse and ultimately needing surgery. The knee joint is not one to be messed with! If it's just sprained, you…

It does get easier! I just sent you a FR, but what I forgot to mention is that you already started feeling deprived as soon as you thought of calling your new lifestyle a "diet"! Never ever say that word again!! lol

When y'all go down the shore this weekend...remember, KEEP RIGHT PASS LEFT IN NJ!!! :)

Sending FR now :)

I seriously thought this was a joke when I read the topic! STOP THE MADNESS!! What do you think is gonna happen when you start eating adult people food again?

I just started Les Mills Pump with some friends last week, mixing in some Turbo Fire on the cardio days, and LOVE it so far! I can't walk, but I'm feeling GOOOOOOOOD!

My reason back in 1987 was being called Big Bertha by a group of boys who were friends with a boy I had a crush on. They decided to do this across the cafeteria so that everyone could see/hear. in the same week, we all had to go down to the nurse's office to get weighed. Everybody in my home room knew I weighed 192lbs.…

Now I know why people feel intimidated at the gym and feel intimidated by asking help from those who are in shape. How sad. I was once that unfit person who didn't know any better. I'm glad that the girls who sought me out had a sincere desire to help others rather than being fitness snobs who may never know what it's like…

Seriously? I have a friend who had lap band surgery, lost 50lbs, and stalled out because she didn't make the lifestyle changes necessary. Now she's been in my Challenge Groups and doing well because she has made the necessary changes, but the lap band itself is not a miracle cure. You still have to want it bad enough to…

That 79g of protein you had for lunch? Way too much for one meal. Your body can only process so much protein in one sitting..

Hey, girl! I just sent a friend request :)

Portion control has worked for me since 1987... back then we didn't have the info we have now and that was before the world of low fat and low carb, so that's all I knew to do. Portion control and MOVE. The old fashioned way! lol

Bull...besides an intermittent fast in the morning b/c i just can't eat that early, I graze all thoughout the day, have 18% body fat, am 40 yrs old and can eat 2000 cals per day. PHOOOEY!
-
Really, all throughout the day. I get 500 cals from breakfast, around 400-500 at dinner, but I tend to eat around 500 cals in snacks throughout the day as well...

Start telling yourself you kick *kitten* at losing weight, and you will! You're only as good as your beliefs! You're a funny writer, though, so blog away! ;)

I've gotten my results all from at home workouts. Why? CONVENIENCE! If something isn't convenient, I just won't do it! I've always been that way!
-
1. Convenience. 2. Goes back to being obese in gym class and being teased and not being athletic. 3. Convenience. 4. I don't have to make sure the person before me wiped their sweat off of the equipment. 5. Convenience. 6. Bad experiences at Bally's in the early 90s when gyms were meat markets. 7. Did I mention…

WOW! Fantastic! You're an inspiration for sure! <3
-
^^ absolutely right!!

I would do the full classes. They are designed as full workouts for a reason. I've never done Combat or Pump in the gym, but I still think taking the full classes, once per week each if that's all you can do, would maximize your result :)

Thanks! :)

Count me in! 40, going on 41 in August and just saw this thread for the first time lol

I've always had to go it alone and if I want to eat healthier than my family, I have to buy and prep my own food myself. I work two jobs and make time to food prep, I'm sure you can, too. If you wanna get healthy, that's great! But don't expect everyone else to suddenly change their ways to suit your needs.

I eat 2000ish cals on workout days and 1700-1800 on rest days. And I'm 40. I love muscle! lol
-
I got back to school clothes...I was 15 lol
-
I'm 5'7, 135 and my maintenance cals are set to 1780 on rest days and I eat back as much of my workout cals as I can stuff in my face lol I have my MFP set to "lightly active" b/c I'm a school bus driver who sweeps, fuels, and throws myself bodily into the turns when I'm turning a 15-ton vehicle. With MFP guidelines I've…

I gotta find out the sugars in these to see if Dad can have them (he's diabetic). I'm trying these out soon!

Funny, I just typed out a blog regarding feeling deprived... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/RobynMWilson/view/deprivation-538187 You shouldn't be feeling dizzy so I'm glad you got the bloodwork. As for violent, that shouldn't be happening, either! Instead of dieting, how about healthy eating? I sent you a FR and I'd love…
