It's certainly possibly to do it many days in a row, on days I go to the gym and play sports I cover that 1,000 + but that's only a few times a week for me. 2-3 hours of "intense" workouts would cover that for a lot of people.

I feel your pain, I'm probably about 30-40 lbs over where I want to be. I think I've finally hit the point where I'm tired of the weight and am really focused the past couple weeks as I'm starting (again) on the journey as handyrunner said it has to be for me and I want me to be a better me and I'm sure with the right…

I'm looking to get started on that soon here myself. I did it last year and it worked fantastically but then the holidays hit and I lost my running motivation. I've been biking the past few months consistently but the end of summer/fall 5Ks are coming soon and I want a jump on that myself.

I tend to take my breaks on Tuesday. I don't like the idea of doing it on the weekend because I've really tried to have an up and go attitude on the weekends so breaking then seems counter-intuitive and on Monday it gets the blood flowing for the work week. I've been on my "serious" exercise routine since the end of…

Overly greasy foods anymore. As I've gotten into a healthier mindset, greasy foods have a tendency to tear me up but yet still taste good. I think it's still a mind/body disconnect as I can have somewhat greasy/fried stuff but the rest of it is bad news. My brain knows this before I eat it, but then I crave it, eat it, and…

If you find this, please send them my way after you! I'm also along the lines of the OP, my weight is moving more slowly than the inches lost and I'm reasonably OK with that. Keeping measurements is just as important as the scale, especially if you are trying to become more athletic rather than just lose weight.

Miracle Whip, Mushrooms and Coconut are probably the biggest 3 for me.

I'm right there with you. I think, in my case at least, is that my work isn't particularly stressful so I don't need to be super focused in on doing it so I can be bored enough to want to eat. On the weekends I stay reasonably busy that I tend to notice I'm hungry only when I'm rather hungry.

Pizza, Cheese and Reese's Cups. It's weird, I'm typically not a big sweets person aside from the occasional ice cream but I will go through some Reese's Cups given the chance.

I am up between 5-6 M-F and typically can make it between 6-7 on the weekends. I can only nap if I really run myself ragged early in the morning on the weekends but usually if I'm up, I'm up. I do try to maintain about 7 hours of sleep per night and that keeps me pretty lively.

I like the theories of either squeezing something into lunch and/or cutting down a little bit on study time. With all those class items due, I have to imagine you get brain fried while working on it. Take a break every hour or so and just do a little bit here and there until the load eases off and hit the gym again.

I had/have it. My best luck has come from losing weight and strengthening the muscles as well as stretching them whenever I feel that ache. Buying the correct shoes has helped as well. As someone else noted, I've learned to run more towards the mid-foot balls of foot strike and it doesn't flare up too much anymore unless I…

I wish there was a magic diet to losing belly fat, as bostonwolf pointed out, weight falls off everyone differently. I've got the "luck" of losing (and gaining) belly fat much more readily than anywhere else and I'm reasonably sure it's genetics as I look quite a bit like my grandfather in body/fat stylings. As I've been…

There's circumstances and excuses. Circumstances can make things hard but that's probably only 25% of the people, the rest just like that to be an excuse (I'm guilty of it myself over the years) but I'm currently a full time student and working 40 hours a week and I do an hour to an hour and a half of exercise every day.…

I'm interested in that, a good support team and some hard work would help me even more. I'm already very motivated and am willing to help and encourage anyone looking for it!

I am in a similiar boat as well. I've been solidly back into it for about 2 weeks now and am also looking for others motivated as well!

Congratulations!!! Keep up the fantastic work!! Looking great :)

I'm hoping for 30-40 lbs more myself. I'm looking for more positively encouraging people. A positive group mind set along with individual determination can break down any mountain! Feel free to add me anyone.

Hey Everyone, I meet some of the Geeky requirements. I'm a big fan of the Game of Thrones books, Kingkiller Chronicles, WOOL, Firefly, Fringe, LotR, gaming and probably some other things that are slipping my mind. I'd certainly enjoy chatting with some others that are motivated to get in better shape and debate the finer…

Feel free to add me, after falling off and getting ran over by the wagon, I'm full invested back on here as I know it was a big helper!

My doctor suggested a weight for my next yearly physical to try to get around to and I've recently hit that. But about halfway through losing that weight, I've kind of come to the conclusion of clothing size I'm aiming for. I'm not too far off that, you find what feels happy for you and go for that, when you get close you…

Though it's been said before, Insanity's results are bigger in the inches lost than necessarily the weight loss. It can be a super intense workout so you build up quite a bit of muscle, but you shrink!

I probably qualify, big WoW/Guild Wars MMO gamer, huge into Zelda (went to the symphony, fantastic!), spent the past 2 weekends at Renn Faires and was at a different one a few weeks back. I tend to be more fantasy geek than sci fi but I can appreciate that too!

I'm right in that ballpark myself if anyone wants to add me. I log every day and enjoy interacting with some new people! :)

I'm using a kind of tiered approach to my bucket list. Though I suppose it's more like goals I'm setting myself for the (hopefully near rather than far off) future. September - 5K October - Zombie 5K January - Polar Bear Plunge (not so much a fitness goal, but something I feel compelled to do) Spring - Sky Dive Early…

I'm 29 and working on finishing my Cyber Security degree and then pursuing Information Assurance. Feel free to add me!
