  • Can't say what others need to do but for me, routine is the key. Eating regular meals whether I am hungry or not tells my body not to store calories. If I wait until I am hungry I eat too fast and too much. If meals are more like brushing my teeth - something I have to do, not something that is a pleasure - then overeating…
  • It seems like the first pounds I lose come from places that actually leave me looking worse. IOW my belly seems more distended, etc. But that was only the first weight to come off. Later it looked much better as the body adjusts to losing weight.
  • What a clever idea. There is something to be said for "allowing" yourself to have treats so long as your goal is nutrition and good eating habits.
  • Cant speak for anyone else but for me- proteins are more filling and most of the bad stuff causes me to want more food later. I find that if I eat boring stuff that is nutritious BEFORE I get hungry then I never desire to binge. Boring stuff can be good stuff. Watermelon, blueberries, mixed nuts, eggs...I like them all and…
  • It is important to train your body when to eat. Small meals often and you will never be hungry - but you will eat because it is time to eat. Just like brushing your teeth etc. If you are on a schedule and filling your nutritional needs, don't worry about a shortage of calories occasionally.
