Wow, aren't' you polite and helpful....Jerk.

I REALLY do feel your pain, I started going back into the offices just to get away from this. I used to work at home, eat poor breakfasts and relatively convenient food all day, I'd really recommend getting out of the house, finding somewhere you can work in peace so you can get a little exercise and help curb the…

Wow that's a hard one....erm I think for me it began in Uni, final year. The majority of which was spent in my room or in the lab on my *kitten* doing very little other than revising/working. I fueled these stints on energy drink and often (and I mean OFTEN) partook of convenience/fast food because I simply didn't want to…

I love McDonalds, I crave it whenever I see one - then instantly regret eating them afterwards, not because of a diet but because I know for the 1,200Kcal luke-warm-stuck-to-the-box bigmac and fries I could have had a full 12Oz steak, potatoes and green veg....and a fruit desert. Not worth it....

My biggest tip would be really get involved in the community, post on the forum and add friends in your area! I can't tell you how many times I've lost the will and been bolstered by the support of everyone on here. You really won't find a nicer, less judgmental and more supportive community on the internet! And yes, it…

I lost 10lb in 2 weeks through strict diet and some pretty intense resistance training, but I think that's the best you can hope for, I know I certainly couldn't have survived on less or worked harder...

1. Find some healthy foods you like! Broccoli, poached eggs, soups, all good! 2. Willpower 3. WIllpower

My Thanks to you Gustaaf, you got me into the challenges etc, otherwise I wouldn't have lost so much. Exactly what makes this forum/community great! :)

http://30dayfitnesschallenges.com/30-day-abs-challenge/ This one here, it's not exactly the hardest thing in the world but it works your core and gets a sweat on, if only for 5-10 minutes. I do this as well as walk 4 miles per day to/from work and try Insanity whenever I feel like getting my *kitten* handed to me lol
-
Thanks all for your kind words, I'll keep going with the diet and exercise as it is, trybto push it further with Insanity and 30 day challenge so there's some good results!!!
-
Thanks all for your kind words, it's this forum and MFP in general that has made this so easy for me. I do get the concern that I'm losing too fast but I'm keeping up with resistance training to make sure my muscle doesn't suffer :)! My target currently is 220lbs, but my perfect weight would be around 185 I think. Regards,…

Brilliant! And....

There are "articles" and not studies. I implore you to attempt to find one attributing artificial sweeteners to weight gain in any credible medical journal.....

Thanks a bunch guys, replied to both! Cracking on with the diet and now 30 day challenge! :) Look forward to speaking to you!

OK that one made me look over my shoulder lol Scary film that...

I'm not sure from this where your concern lies, is it the cost of feeding him? If so, get him to chip in. Is it the time you take to prepare it? If so, get him to prepare the food. I can't tell you how upset I'd be if I decided to indulge in a take away and my fiance stormed in and threw her arms up in the air. His life…

This thread got me kicked into the spare room for the night.....Worth it.

That right there was the perfect tip, thank you very much! Something I can easily remember and do :)

Saw the scales in the bathroom, thought I'd set on them for a laugh and relaised I was 1 and a half stone heavier than I've ever been. Sealed the deal right then and there, since that moment I've lost 4Kgs (was only 2 weeks ago!) and it's melting off me with strict diet and exercise.
-
Thanks a lot for your responses guys. Got into work, had a bowl of all-bran with banana slices, glass of watered down pineapple juice and a hard boiled egg, feel so much better! :)
-
Just looked at my nutrition for the past week and you're spot on. Consistently at almost half my required protein and never noticed. Adding a boiled egg to breakfast as reccomended :) Thank you!

My calculated daily is 2300 for weight loss but I've been managing 1720 just fine the past few weeks. I really don't get a lot of protein so I think I'll make a focused effort to get more. My daily meals usually consist of cereal, soup and salmon for dinner with fruit or popcorn as snacks. No sugary drinks and no sweets as…

The thing I can see from your diary is you have far too much processed and fatty foods. Does everything you eat need cheese on it?! Cut the cheese out, as well as ditching the chocolate flavored cereals in place of more nutritious, high-fiber ones like all-bran or corn flakes. Also popcorn. Popcorn is the snack of gods.…

*sorry for double post* very good observation but lightly active wouldn't be an accurate reading of my calorie usage. Setting myself as completely sedentary then tracking my walks via runkeeper allows a much more accurate calorie offset I find, that's the only reason I do it.
-
Hi There! Thanks for your eloquent response. Firstly, my issue isn't getting the calories, if I wanted to hit 2000 I could sit and chow down on a fatty burger etc, I'm trying to change my diet completely, for the better, permanently. At the same time I do need to lose weight. I'm managing 1720 just fine currently, even to…

Well good look to you! I fear I could inhale 1200Kcal...
-
Again thanks for your responses guys. Very interesting that apparently its too low! Most days I don't even manage reaching my goal calories once my walking commute is added to exercise! Should I be eating more or more often or both?
-
Brilliant, that's what I needed to know thank you very much all. I'll carry on as I am then. :) Glad that's the case, I'd never pull off 1200!! Matt
