Thanks!! It's going to be next Saturday morning at 8 AM...I plan on rolling out of bed, throwing some clothes on and heading up before doing anything else. :) The best part about it is - my hubs birthday is coming up, and we haven't been on a vacation without the kids in forever...this would be perfect.

I know, it's really confusing! I just took everyones loss and divided by weight to come up with the percentages...that's how I know how close we are. It's crazy!

I use dumbbells and bench press with just the bar for now. If you 'browse all' in the exercise/strength training portion of mfp, you'll see a lot of exercises that can be done with dumbbells - just google them and see how to do them. That's how I got started strength training at home! ;)

I do four days of cardio kickboxing and three days of strength training, because I realize that building lean muscle is what's going to keep you burning calories. Cardio stops when you stop. Regardless, cardio is really important. The heart is a muscle, and it needs a workout too - not to mention how much better I FEEL…

19...but as many have said before me - I really wasn't 'ready' for it until mid-20s. My kids have always been loved and taken care of...but mentally, emotionally inside- I should have waited until at least 25, if not closer to 30. I'm 33 now.

Well said. I go through the same with my children...they never say anything about me [although I am positive they want me to lose weight], but I have heard them comment on other people and how they must do this or that to be overweight....we have had several talks about it.

Great advice, and the only thing that has worked for me so far! A support system is awesome, but you have to develop a can-do attitude and get right back up. We all stumble now and again, but don't stay on the ground. :)

I've always heard sweet potatoes are the best out of the potato family, and to stay away from white potatoes all together...but it doesn't seem like everyone else has heard the same!
