Eat more. 1200~ calories a day + intense cardio workouts = a big no no. You aren't fueling your metabolism enough so in turn it's slowing down the rate at which it causes reactions within your body. Do what BaileyBoo1352 just recommended (I believe MFP has a BMR calculator on here).

For Heart Rate Monitors, I recommend the Polar FT4. It's cheap, simple, and relatively accurate. I'm on day 5 btw. :)
