  • I hate going alone as well. Sometimes my friend didn;t want to go when I did, so I kept my eyes open for a treadmill. I was so fortunate to get one at Canadian Tire for 60%, off so now I can do my treadmill any time I want. It's just a simple inexpensive one that works wonderfully. I am so happy with it.
  • Also try using skim milk instead of 1%.
  • I believe the women eat 1200 cals per day and the men 1800 cals per day, but it's the exercise. They burn that and more each day, so they exercising all the cals they eat in a day. I would die if I had to do that program. The 1200 cals is no big deal, been doing that for months, but to exercise like that would do me in

  • I also like the frozen dinners. Especially the Lean Cuisine one's. They taste good which is amazing for frozen dinners and are low in cal's. I have them with a salad and really feel as if I had a good filling dinner.
  • I also have the same thing and have been on meds for years. All you can do is start from now. The weight is there, so now begins your journey to get it off. This program is wonderful and really works. I just advise you to log in everything BEFORE you eat to keep within your cal limits. Good luck. I know you can do it.

  • Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start a new day tomorrow. Those salad's can be tricky critters for sure. I find it helps to drink some (couple of glasses) of water before eating. Helps to fill me up some. I almost hate to eat out. I just don' t want the calories and have all my work come to naught. You will do…
  • You can sometimes find fabulous clothing in the consignment or thrift stores. Those are the only places I've been shopping until I get to my goal weight.
  • What an awesome idea!!! I am going to remember that and do it next time I want to head off for a snack. Thank you so much
  • First of all, go and have fun. Why not have something to eat before you go and nibble on dinner. Explain to the hostess before hand. She will congratulate you on the effort you are making and will understand
  • Welcome BirdeM. As one 61 year old to another, you can do it. I retired a few months back and decided now was the time to make some changes. One of those changes was to dump some extra unwanted pounds. I love this site. I also log in my food before I eat otherwise I go off the deep end. My goal is 41 pounds before year end…

  • my boss once used an analogy that I find very helpful. We had a huge job to do as a team. He said the only way to get the job done was for everyone to take small bites of the elephant and before you know it, the elephant would be gone. I use this for my weight loss. Every pound lost is a small bite of the elephant and…
