100g greek yogurt, blueberries and strawberries, a drizzle of maple syrup and one Nature valley oats and hazelnut bar crumbled over the top :-) (My rare sweet tooth was calling to me today, now that I'm reading that back...)

Why do people have to be so patronising? I asked a similar question about clean eating a while back and got criticised about greek yogurt of all things! I totally get the grated cheese point you were making, they add preservatives to extend shelf like and ingredients to avoid clumping. My concept of clean eating is…

Tomato and mozzarella salad with basil and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil :-)

Kettlebells! Great for arms, shoulders, upper back and posture. I did some 3 years ago to get wedding-fit, then lost my exercise way until last November, and am now addicted to kettle bells. Go to a class to get the technique right, or you'll just get injured++

I have a similar goal! I am taking my time and want to get to 145lbs. I'm totally in denial and despite being 'on the wagon' for the past 3 weeks, I haven't weighed myself at all! Clothes are feeling good and exercise is keeping my endorphins up, but gonna weigh myself on 1st feb and take it from there. Would like to be at…

I have made: lunch for mon and tues - roll with chicken and avocado Dinner for tomorrow: fresh pasta dough to be made into spaghetti tomorrow, with arrabiata sauce Dinner for Tuesday: leftover dinner from tonight - roast pork belly, to be had with plenty of veg

I did think a banana would work really well. Bacon....would be amazing!! But I supposeI should be finding foods that I'm less likely to crave and dream about lol!

I only just started logging weekends, to give me my weekly averages. Used to just do mon-fri. Usually well over on Saturday and Sunday, but find that logging it has shown I'm generally hovering around my TDEE on those days, so overall a decent deficit with exercise through the week. I don't meal plan at weekends, so that's…

I thought this too? My TDEE is approx 1980, so I eat 1450 give or take and try not to eat my exercise calories. I'm totally in denial and haven't weighed myself until a few weeks in, but clothes are feeling better already....

Ah, don't think this is available in the UK.... Shame. I shall endeavour to seek out more acceptable cals-per-slice bread
Live like a nun Monday through Friday and like a devil at the weekend, cheat weekends are ace
I tend to do this, but try and make one day good and one day relaxed. I log religiously mon-fri, then relax a bit at the weekends, safe in the knowledge I have exercise calories or a little slack from though the…

Yes, Weightwatchers/nimble/thin sliced bread can be approx 70 calls. Any breads with seeds or wholemeal or artisan can be around 150 per slice, sometimes more! That means 300 calories in bread for a sandwich before you even add fillings! I have pet hate of all things marketed as low fat/calorie controlled, and I don't have…

I am regularly shocked about him many calories can be in a single slice of bread! I tend to only have it on a weekend/cheat day so I can enjoy it without feeling too deprived in other meals....

Rye bread( the german kind) topped with various things: chicken, tuna mayo, cream cheese, avocado, houmous. It has helped me ditch the rice cakes, which have virtually no nutritional value. I like to have a bigger lunch than you around 350cals, and each slice of bread is approx 140 cals, but I usually just have milk or a…

I did all the IIFYM calculations and I set mine to 40/30/30 (pro/fat/carb) I struggle to hit the protein and go way over on fat, but carbs are usually pretty close. Treats like pasta and sweet things send my carbs over(no surprise). Stay within my calories usually though, with exercise helping to average out any days I go…

Excellent post! Thanks

Told you all I was new to this... In fairness, I never really stick to 1350, I'm almost always over 1450 but if I can eat a bit more then that's always music to me ears ;-) I'll increase slightly to see how I feel. I'm not starving at the moment, but I guess if I'm not sticking to 1350 very consistently then it must be too…

I LOVE tiger bread! All bread. But when I cut it out/down I'm so glad I don't crave it and go nuts and binge. It's a treat for me :)

Many thanks I HATE processed diet food alternates that mean you hit a number target but forego real whole foods! I'm not into whey protein or artificial sweeteners or shakes etc that'll 'balance my macros'. I just don't want to lose the little muscle mass I am trying to accumulate. I'll see how the next few weeks go at…

WOW!! what a response guys! OK, so taking in everything everyone has said: -Good for anyone boycotting the corporate machine that is coca-cola -I'm actually a dentist with no cavities or fillings, so my teeth are just fine on fizzy diet drinks. -I can't believe how many people share my addiction! My biggest question: HAS…

I have to admit, my diet is very varied but very poorly disciplined! I try to avoid refined carbs and gluten-free works well for me. Am back on the wagon as of today after a very merry festive season, and will just start counting calories, aiming towards a ketogenic diet, as my family have terrible issues with glucose…
