Narak_lol is killing it on this challenge. Great riding this weekend Narak_lol.

I think I finished with five rides that required lights a majority if not all of the ride this October. This coming month it will be more like 15 I hope.

Where do I start logging my miles

50K is still usually under 2 hours for me. I will admit that bringing on a new rider may mean more 35K rides this winter but I like the challenge.

We are blessed with great weather for this particular challenge but I won't be turning it down for the sporting advantage ;)

Count both myself and my wife in (MrsCentralCaliCycling) - I think she will enjoy this.

For the couple of years that I did HS I was not a member of any click - didn't care for them but individuals in most could be considered friends at times. I had grades, was into sports (skiing, soccer, basketball, softball, track and field, and swimming to name a few), cars, working, reading, flying and did not want to be…

No easy answers to the overall comments on this thread except the one from the OP - Yes, the father of the child has a legal and moral obligation to assist with the support of the child. That said, I noted comments about how much should be paid when the parent with a majority of the custody has less income than the parent…

This is the best answer. Everyone has a different base heart rate. The base heart rate changes with exercise and age. Exercise can get it up some if you haven't been exercising. Age will reduce your max over time.

This is so sarcastically true. It is not how many people have guns as much as it is how many people respect persons and property...

As always - this was a blast. Looking forward to what happens next.

With the right gear you can climb anything that has pavement on it

Not going to ride a TT bike since I don't have one and the last time I tried attaching aero bars to a road bike I ended up with a broken shoulder.

Date : 24/09/2013 Ride Type : RR Distance : 69.56 Km GPS Log : http://connect.garmin.com/activity/380982940 Trying tonight for the TT - if the wind is as bad as is expected I may have to try again Saturday. TBY Edit - Logged

This will be my route as long as I can cross the street at the turn around without getting crushed by a truck. Usually not a lot of traffic if I start at the right time. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/293821211

Can we ride a longer route and just segment the TT portion? I figured I would warm up on the way out to the course I am planning on riding.
-
Count me in - I wish that it started this Saturday when I have some time to really ride but I will figure something out - very doubtful I will be able to come close to the podium on the RR since I just don't have time during the week for more than about two and a half hours of riding and Saturdays are not usually an option…

1. Biggest improvement came after completing two events in back to back years. The Climb 2 Kaiser and the Death Ride. Each time I rode them they were spaced two weeks apart. My climbing, endurance and even speed increased significantly after both years (2009 and 2010). I have done the Climb 2 Kaiser the last couple of…

Thanks to TheBigYin for putting a lot of extra effort after his rides to keep all of this for us. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next challenge. As for Cloggsy - I promise to keep it warm for you until next time :D

Pasta fagioli soup and house salad is one favorite but I am not opposed to Fettuccine Alfredo (substituting the fettuccine with angel hair pasta) along with bread sticks, however there is always way to long a wait and I rarely eat there.

Congradulations everyone - this was fun, perhaps I will have a little more time during the Velta :)
