Just revisiting this thread... over the warmer months I've had 40 g Weightwatchers cereal berry flakes with a bit of vanilla protein powder mixed through then I add a dash of milk (although recently switched to coconut & almond milk), some yoghurt and some Watties Lite tinned fruit salad. That keeps me going without any…

My diet definitely now has more Paleo/Primal leanings, I do still have dairy and I haven't managed to give up grain completely but I try very hard to stay off refined white flour products, white rice etc. I definitely feel better for eating this way but find it hard as my other half isn't completely on board with it and he…

Just lately I've been enjoying the Select Brown Rice Crackers from Countdown. I particularly like the Multigrain but they do Sea Salt, Black Sesame and Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil versions too. This should link to them on their homeshopping webpage: http://tinyurl.com/mdd3a92

We tend to go for Noodle Canteen and share one between hubby and me. Or we get two different ones to mix up the flavours a bit and have leftovers for lunch the next day. http://www.noodlecanteen.co.nz/nutritional-information

Getting back on the straight an narrow after about a 8 month hiatus and on the look out for replacements for ice cream treats and found two: Weight Watchers Double Choc Sundae Tip Top Yoghurt Ice Cream - I've tried the Blueberry but it also comes in Passion Fruit and the best thing is you can get a 4 pack of individual…

I don't know if its a new product from Arnotts but I've recently discovered Arnotts Fun Sticks. They come in multi-packs of 10 smaller packs and are 85 Cal per small pack. Each pack has about 8 little wafer sticks in them. A really yummy, crunchy sweet treat. They come in vanilla & chocolate flavours.

I agree with whipa. Its only for the weekend so just try as much as you can to be sensible (eg. small cone with yogurt based ice cream or sorbet), stop when you feel full, look for salads & fresh foods at markets - that kind of stuff. It does also help to try to track as honestly as you can (well I found it helped). I've…

Macaroni with garlic, bacon, spring onions, mushrooms, spinach & a small sprinkle of grated parmesan. Used Light evaporated milk with a bit of the water used to boil the pasta for the sauce. Came out at 211 calories per portion. Our 'standard' dinners have changed so much these days, its great although becoming more of a…

I miss carbs in general but when I need a fix I have a Freya Thin (available from most supermarkets in the bread aisle). I've also become a fan of corn cakes and the Healtheries Air Popped potato bites. I also trawl this website for ideas: www.yourlighterside.com Or you could look here:…

To curb my choccy cravings I'm enjoying Fun Size Milky bars, Maltesers or Smarties - all less then 100calories each To curb my bread cravings I've discovered Freya Sandwich Thins For a warm drink I'm having Jarrah White Hot Chocolate or Blegian Milk however they have phenylalanine in them so am going to look for an…

I MISS bread in such a big way but it was seriously blowing my calorie allowances so cut back massively. However, I've just discovered Countdown sell Freya's Sandwich Thins which are a low carb option. They are lovely toasted and come in a few different flavours I think - well I've spotted Multigrain, Soy & Linseed &…

After reading the side of too many cereal packets I'm now having Uncle Toby's Oats Quick Sachets every morning. I mix them with 1/4 cup lite milk & 1/4 cup water with a bit of Splenda on top sometimes. Too many of the 'healthy' cereal options were too high in sugar for my liking. My other half switches between the Uncle…

I do it by going to the actual recipe and hovering the mouse to the right of the recipe concerned and then two buttons appear - Add to Diary or Delete. If you click on Add to Diary it gives you options of where you want to add it. Hope this helps.

Yeah, so good to know I'm not the only one like this, I always just want to eat & eat & eat & eat when its my TOM. I find myself staring into the fridge or pantry soooo often trying to find a low cal snack. Really interesting to hear about the possible magnesium & iron deficiency so will do something to try and boast my…

So how did your Mother's Days end up ladies? I totally agree about not having to do anything and getting some peace so my day turned out really well. My boy insisted Daddy make porridge rather than bacon & eggs because he knows I'm trying to loose weight AND I got a subscription to Healthy Good Guide rather than…

Gosh thats a tough taget, I'm on 1380 and find it hard but rice cakes & corn cakes have been my saving grace. I find they really fill me up especially with cottage cheese or hummus and then a bit of protein (ham or chicken) on top. I've also hunted around to find snacks that are satisfying but not too high in calories that…

I'm almost consistently over my sugar allowance each day so days by a little other days it gets blown out the water. I keep it there though as my family has a history of diabetes and I'm trying to get a handle on how to eat well without too much sugar in my diet. Its helping me to figure out what to have a little of and…

Hi, I'm almost a Kiwi as we apply for Citizenship on Monday! Originally from the UK now living on the North Shore in Auckland.
