A fitbit wouldn't really help with strength training either, as the accelerometer only tends to register steps for walking or running. It doesn't give anything extra for the calories you burn actually straining to lift.

"Then, once my form is good, I can change gyms" HA! THAT made me laugh in an otherwise crappy day.... :) You'll do great... just walk in there and pretend like you know what you're doing. Nobody cares what anybody else is doing in the gym.. even when you think everybody is looking... they're not.

I'm 5'4" and lost a bunch of weight a couple of years ago. When I started I thought I'd never really be under 150, but got down to 123 in the end. I gained some back due to injury, and am currently around 140. I'd love to be 120 as long as it looked good on me, and I gained back the muscle I had before. I'd be comfortable…
